welll get on it then!!!! add everything... Desert and Green Variants!!

keep desert and green variants in very diferent PBO files.

thats waht pursuaded me agasint the other humvee pack is i dont like having a 63 meg pack with umvees where i only need the woodland ones

sounds are a NEED im sick of the bis sound.. it doesnt even sound like a gun it sounds like someone knocking on a door.

use the DR sound pack and u wont have that problem

My personal recommendation?

No other mod that I know of has better sounds overall than FDF.

It's a bit weighty in terms of size but it's also one of the more reasonably detailed mods out there. So hardware constraints are a but a quibbling compared to other mods or the overall benefits the mod gives you.

i would after the Hmmwv´s are completed preciate if you could make some nice trucks... not that the BIS trucks are bad, but they can be better...

maybe add som new variants?

like a new refuel, ammo, open, repair, medic, cargo, open and all other variants in service today...

why not ask sigma-6 for the use of his .50 it sounds as real as I've heard.(small note: I've fired around a thousand rounds from the top of an M109)

I really like the work you have done on these, really nice kit

wow! FischKopp never fails to amaze with his lifelike textures. Great job! smile_o.gif

a small bug: the headlights seem to be on the whole time. can anyone else confirm this?

No shadows = no download for me.

the new humvee has shadows. however, the old beta pack does not. so i recommend trying out the new one.

I´m just amazed; i love this beauty!!! Great model, great textures, great handling... i can´t wait till play with more humvees like this!!!  biggrin_o.gif

P.D: Like others said, headlights are always on; apart this bug, will you make a more realistic headlight texture (when the headlight is set off) and about tires...will you retexture the BI standard humvee tires?

Anoher sugestion: replace original boring BI engine sounds by original humvee sounds (as somebody said). If you´re interested i got several humvee engine sounds recorded.

you´re right topchris175, i love this vehicle since it´s first public appearance in operation Just Cause in Panama.

Almost all my life i´ve been living surrounded by humvees (toy humvees, but humvees tounge_o.gif )

I´m still looking for my recorded sounds from parades but i can´t find them!  mad_o.gif

Anyway in this file (7,9 MB)  you can find some interesting engine sounds (start, stop, idle...) taken from a Hummer H1 Turbodiesel (it sounds more or less equal to humvee)

P.D: If you listen closely, you can even hear the Hummer's electric clock ticking

Another idea: when humvee is severely damaged, winch and windows break... but what about add some bullet holes to the whole car? something like humvees of Blackhawk Down movie (filled with bullet holes after somali attacks)

Well drawback is if your driver wrecks the vehicle hitting something like most AI drivers it causes the bullet holes to show regauardless of how it was destroyed. That and having to make extra textures with damage also makes the megabites of the pack larger.

OFP engine limitations can't keep track of how damaged was caused. So and RPG hit in will make the bullet holes show. As well as handgrenads and the great AI driving capabilites.

With the mods mostly having heavy burning effects most of the time, and how a destroyed unit is deformed after being destroyed is something that must be taken into account when making an addon.

what he is saying is that if you crash into a tree doin 90

your hummer is gonna have bullet holes in it

he means that OFP doesnt know if you got shot by an RPG an AK47, or a big ass tree

mmm well i´ll continue making sugestions about things that could be cool in this hmmwvs.

* What about operable windshield cleaners? i mean like in the C-47 skytrain...

* What about make doors or unless trunk openable?

* What about an Up-armored version (M-1114)
