Wilco 944 Posted March 31, 2004 Funny little video, sorry if it has been already posted here. http://content.collegehumor.com/media....ops.wmv
ozanzac 0 Posted March 31, 2004 Quote[/b] ]A prisoners escort, had to have the way pointed out to him, although it was in plain sight, 700 yards away, over open country. Quote[/b] ]But one hour, and ten minutes after taking the drug, with one man climbing a tree to feed the birds. The troop commander gave up, admitting that he could no longer control himself or his men. Classic.
toadlife 3 Posted March 31, 2004 Why they would ever think LSD could help troops to perform their duties is beyond me. EditWas there a specific goal in these tests? I know LSD was tested as a mind control agent by many different countries, but this video doesn't seem like a mind control exercise.
Guest Posted March 31, 2004 I think it was more to show that they couldn't perform their duties. Think spiked water supplies
ralphwiggum 6 Posted March 31, 2004 probably to test if LSD could be used for some "enhancement" back in old days.
Gordy 0 Posted March 31, 2004 Wasn't LSD used by american combat pilots? How about a fighter plane crach some time ago? They revealed that it was in practice for some time now.
toadlife 3 Posted March 31, 2004 Wasn't LSD used by american combat pilots? No I don't think so. LSD would definitely not help a pilot fly his plane. Quote[/b] ]How about a fighter plane crach some time ago? They revealed that it was in practice for some time now. You're thinking of speed (amphetamines) perhaps?
Gordy 0 Posted March 31, 2004 You're thinking of speed (amphetamines) perhaps? That's right. That was it.
theavonlady 2 Posted March 31, 2004 Maybe the original communique called for "manouvers with troop laden LSTs" and this got passed on as "manouvers with LSD laden troops".
TopCover 0 Posted March 31, 2004 The USS Ashland is a mind control agent?
mr burns 133 Posted March 31, 2004 i could imagine that the brits tested this stuff to learn if it is good as a weapon- sprayed from a little plane over enemy territory it would´ve been very effective to decrease the enemys strenght....somehow

LSD would definitely not help a pilot fly his plane. But it would explain a lot, don't you think? The video was posted ages ago in this forum - probably in the military humor thread. It's a great classic!

Pathy 0 Posted March 31, 2004 Yes im sure they did, but i get the feeling nobody here has lost anyone close to drugs
Winters 1 Posted March 31, 2004 I have not lost anyone to drugs but i did help 2 friends get through Heroin withdrawls and that is not a pleasant sight.
toadlife 3 Posted March 31, 2004 Never lost anyone to drugs, but have enough experience in that area. As long as the dosages were reasonable and the soldiers not dosed many times over, the number of soldiers damaged or affected for life by the tests would probabbly be very little or even nil. BraTTy 0 Posted April 1, 2004 I just want to comment ...I think military mind controlling use would be giving captives/targets the drug and while they are under the influence they would be easier convinced/scared/altered/hypnotised etc... And you could slowly increase levels or such, make someone crazy Subjects could lose their important position in society And Lsd given in small amounts (less than hallucingenic (sp,lol) levels) may produce a speed/hulk/i think im superhuman effect
