SpeedyDonkey 0 Posted March 10, 2004 And you can't take hostages in OFP. Well with some nifty scripting you certainly can!
ralphwiggum 6 Posted March 10, 2004 You all are a bunch of liars. Â Â Yea right. "on divorce court". Â And you can't take hostages in OFP. Â Â Don't you people have anything better to do than make up silly stories? instead of just going on a denial how about checking the situation? Kdog lives in Los Angeles area, and I can confirm that there was a rerun of Divorce court with explanation from tv.yahoo.com and if you know how to use mission editor correctly, you can make hostage missions, or download them. IceFire 0 Posted March 10, 2004 Ok then Ralph, play the divorce court rerun tape. I would like to see this.
ralphwiggum 6 Posted March 10, 2004 sorry, but i do have life and i don't have time to record that to prove it. edit: kdog saw it and relayed what he saw, and I hopefully got the episode number. if it is true that the mansaid 'flashpoint' then replaying the episode would show it. however, i don't have ability or resources to record all shows. Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted March 10, 2004 @ Mar. 09 2004,14:59)]Ah, another addition to my "You know when you have played too much OFP when:" colletion. Â Here's some examples: Quote[/b] ]- you walk through a park and use EVERY bush on your way as cover.- you drive with friends to a party and insist that the headlights need to stay off. - you walk through the city centre and look for a good sniping spot. - you see a flag pole and desperatly have the urge to go to it and take the flag. - you DO get the flag down from the pole and start running, while suddenly stopping and wondering why there is no message saying "xxxx took the flag" LOL I actually do look for things like a place to snipe and stuff like that, but not often. It's not because of OFP, though. It's because I'm very interseted in urban warfare and the tactics behind it. Urban warfare is the most difficult warfare there is. Something that's not gonna help me is that I work next to a room filled with 75 C7A1's (Dutch M16 variant), 100 FN FAL's (7.62mm rife), 50 Clocks (sidearms) and a 30 cerimonial swords. Talk about the ultimate dream for an OFP fan.
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted March 10, 2004 I'm never getting married...No fishwife is going to complain about my OFP! There are actually a few females among us. So you could ask the Avon lady or Kat from BAS to marry you, LOL

theavonlady 2 Posted March 10, 2004 No, my husband does not play OFP, except once in a blue moon. My two oldest boys, however, play. But they're not on the forums.

sergeantslaughter 0 Posted March 11, 2004 My first wife and I divorced largely because of computer game playing. My new wife likes them. Mostly plays Pharoah on her own, but plays OFP and a few others with me. Seems to me that the moral is - computer games aren't bad, but being married to someone on a different wavelength to you is. Stop hitting me with stones! OK OK, i admin, there is something about OFP* but because i could hardly even getting me self a Girl Friend anyway, i really dont give a f*** to that I can't get myself a girlfriend too. But I'm not searching one. My life is way to bussy to get a girlfriend right now. I'm bussy with my studie and right now I work for the navy, which means I'm stuck on the military-base and share a room with three other guys. In the weekend I catch up some sleep and work on my studie. In the very few remaining hours I play OFP, do beta-testing or I'm working on small things in O2. Not really the life that leaves room for a girlfriend. Perhaps in a year or..five I can start thinking of girlfriends. But then I'll be in the marine corps and not home very often. Ah well, life is a bitch. Quote[/b] ]My first wife and I divorced largely because of computer game playing. My new wife likes them. You hit the right spot with that last line. It's not that people get divorced because of computergames (or other stuff), it's because you don't have the same interests and start to get angry about the time someone puts in his/her interests. Computergames aren't bad.We have a prime-minister that plays comptergames. He says computergames are a modern wa of having fun and has o problems with them. Only really over-the-top type of games bother him (armageddon, soldier of fortune, stuff like that). Thank god in my country they don't think that playing OFP (or an other game) makes people go nuts and start killing people.

If someone's married and playing computer games 16 hours a day, he/she os going to wind up divorced due to the major lack of attention the spouse is getting. Similarly, I'm sure it's nice that your PM plays games but watch your country take a dive should he start locking himself in his room for hours on end to play them. Similarly, I'm sure it's nice that your PM plays games but watch your country take a dive should he start locking himself in his room for hours on end to play them. okok, I was talking about 'normal' computer playing. Something like an avarage max of 14 hours a week. People who play 16 hours a day seriously need to get a life. No offence when your playing 16h a day avon. But since you're married and have kids I doubt you have enough time to do that
bn880 5 Posted March 11, 2004 16h a day is okay, but not every day... like once a month spending an entire day playing is OK for me... but I don't get that too often I think this guy was playing 8h per day, considering he might work, that leaves 0 time for family stuff, so obviously there is a slight problem.
