Added fuselage detail to the Flying Bananas. The "cross" at the bottom of the image is a guideline for rivets (original model had riveting there, not a panel line as shown):

For all people who think the cockpit is too high poly. Neph says it's only 2000 and that's not a lot (actually that's quite low-poly if you ask me)

You have to understand that only the gunner and pilot have the cockpit LOD. There are no other cargo-positions that I know of (correct me if I'm wrong). So all the poly's can be used for a high-detailed cockpit.

As for the cargo LOD.... well it's being worked on (she'll get to it when she does). Neph's intent is to show the inside of the APC as the cargo (as per the movie). There may be seats (the CMTM makes reference to be able to seat three passengers, pretty much where Hicks was towards the end) there, but it's still an issue that she has to address.

I never said I ever wanted anything high detail. I've always been a proponent of balance between form and function.

2000 polys is not a lot compared to what? Stock units?

In the end that's what matters. To me at least.

In the end I'm assuming people still actually use addons in missions instead of sitting there marveling at the intricate 3d details on rivets, etc. I would honestly have been happy if someone made bastler's dropship functional and just put a skin on it... and that's it.

Either way, that's just my personal view on it.

bastlers ( actually zippyos) dropship has already been released

the model is ok but itll serve better as a lod i think ;P

hte model that zippyo made isnt really compareable to teh one ive made i dont want to show off, really

but anyone who saw it will understand

but dont discuss this

i made that high detailed cockpit cuz the majority of users has a pretty powerfull pc

(the stuff even runs fine on a slow 1,4 256 ram anyway)

+ i love detail

others love detail aswell , im sure ;)

and 2000 polies isnt too much ;)

basically yes

as its nearly impossibel to make a vtol plane workign as it should ont eh ud4l

besides the ud4l really flies liek a chopper (tilts) when in

helicopter mode

but u can swith to horizontal flight mode (thx to kyle)

and und u can basically fly like a normal plane

or rather rocket as its described in the uscmtm ;)

Hehe, yeah, it's a rocket, that's about it smile_o.gif it takes some getting used to, but it's not that bad.
