Donnervogel 0 Posted November 3, 2004 At least they elected the monkey boy this time ;) Well anyway. I hope Europe will take this chance to lower it's dependency on the US. Because it's foolish to depend on incompetent religous fanatics.
kerosene 0 Posted November 3, 2004 We'll see whos laughing when you get your first ration of soilent green  Too be honest, i think the U.S - or americans rather, get a bad rap, who would you rather was the worlds dominant power Russia, China? Superpowers step on smaller countries, europe already had its turn - Britain, France, Belgium to name a few all have nasty imperial?colonial histories - right up to the 50's and 60's and we're inclined to dress them up as well. All thats really changed is how obviously superpowers can get away with shafting these countries or people and keep the moral high ground with your own people. billybob2002 0 Posted November 3, 2004 BTW, Kerry goes back to the Senate and Edwards goes home because a republican took his seat.
Schoeler 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Well, it's over. It's time for the Bush people to start reaping all of their rewards. And, without enough Democrat votes in either house to successfully filibuster, the Bush voters are going to get everything they deserve. In just a year or two, they will have no one to blame but themselves, and if I hear any of them whining, I may just shoot them personally.
Ironsight 1 Posted November 3, 2004 Kerry just conceded.Thats that. Kinda weak to give up that fast I can only hope that Bush will do a better job these four years then the last four
Badgerboy 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Uh oh, does the fact that Bush actually got elected in this time, and is now legally serving as President unlike 2000, that he gets another 2 terms!!!!! BTW, winning the popular vote still means that half the country still don't want him. Hardly decisive. Oh well, looks like I keep getting to order stuff from the US on the cheap! jtec 0 Posted November 3, 2004 If bush has indeed stayed in power for another term then its a very sad day for the world. I am one of many British citizens that think Bush is a threat to world peace. From what i have seen of him he is a totally uneducated fool who thinks America is the only country in the world and what his country is doing is having major effects on other countries. My girlfriend sent me a email recently of a American associate telling her he hopes one day his fellow Americans will open their eyes and see the lies they are fed. I also hope this for the future of my children and the worlds.

Kerry failed to use Clinton in the South. Kerry had to defend "Gore terrority" because of the polls. The youth vote did not come out to vote heavily for Kerry. The music and celebrity scene failed horriby for Kerry. Michael Moore dies. If Bush and the republicans fudge up in the next 4 years, the democrats would likely have a sure victory in the next elections.

kerosene 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Yeah, but its seems like in the U.S there are two very different perceptions of what constitutes a screw up and what constitutes success. Iraq better have turned around by then or the republicans will be out for sure. I guess, from my point of view, even success in Iraq has problems if it means Bush will be encouraged to go in Iran or something, I reckon that would would probably make Iraq look pretty tame in comparison. SpongeBob 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Kerry just conceded.Thats that. Kinda weak to give up that fast  I'm not surprised, he did quit vietnam after 4 months.  IMO, I'm totally shocked that Bush won, I woke up yesterday, expecting to go to sleep with Kerry winning. Not sure what went wrong for Kerry, or how Bush can still win the pop vote even with all the negative press.
Blake 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Going to Iran is pretty much impossible without implementing draft. Just have a look at US Army Divisions which are currently in Iraq, refitting in US, retraining, elsewhere, etc: Where Are The Divisions
shinRaiden 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Hallelujah, and God bless the Swifties. They stuck their necks out and got out the truth. Actually, thank you to the 'lost' generation that went to 'Nam, this is a step towards the true thank you they truelly deserve. Heres a report from Washington state. First off, the Democrats Outsourced My Polling Place. They couldn't be bothered to send any poll watchers, or to send anyone to look at the lists to get out the vote, allthough they have pulled as much as 45-47% for the seven precincts that vote there. So they outsourced the pollwatching to the Unions, in this case the International Aerospace Machinists Union. The union didn't have anybody in my area to do the work, so they paid to ship a couple shop stewards in from over a hour's drive away who were also given the day off as a paid holiday. They didn't have a 10th the list we did, and relying on Mapquest got themselves good and lost. Meanwhile I was the chief GOP observer there from opening to closing, and worked with several other Precinct Committee Chairmen to read the list of signed in voters, update our list, call in the changes to our district chair, who faxed them to the state campaign office, and then got them in the database so the East Coast phone banks could help us out. One voter told me on the way out the door that he appreciated my work (thought I was a democrat observer) and they would be back later to do what I was doing. Never showed up. SLACKERS... Anyway, Washington state changed parties to the Republicans for the Attorney General and it looks like for the Governor as well. 400 vote difference, still waiting on more absentees. Go DI-NOOOO... The Sheriff who kicked the WTO protesters out of Seattle and captured the Green River Killer is going to DC retaining for the GOP one of the most contested Congress races this year. The county council also is getting reduced in size and put on a tighter leash as well, God bless Kent Pullen, may he finally rest in peace. But most importantly, Four More Years!!! The right man will continue to be in the right place to be able to get the right job done at the right time. But unlike Kerry's plans, Bush won't be muzzleing his media opposition. Ah, it was great to see them sweat. At the huge Republican State party last night, about half in attendance were young college kids, and parents with their younger kids. As new state attorney general Rob McKenna said, "The real issue to the voters wasn't the War or the Economy, it was about Moral Values." I turned to King County Councilman Rev. Steve Hammond who had a visible sigh of relief (McKenna was also on the council until stepping down at the end of this year to be AG) and said "How often do we hear that from a politician?" So God Bless Washington State, God bless George Bush, and God Bless America.
