<span style='font-size:17pt;line-height:100%'>LEARN HOW TO READ:</span>

A series of global variables controls the hit effects.

TACThitEffects : The master on/off switch for all events caused by the player being hit. Default: true.

TACTbleeding : The on/off switch for bleeding. If it becomes false while the player is bleeding, bleeding stops immediately. Default: true.

TACTrespawn : The on/off switch for blackout-on-death and no-sound-on-death. Blackout-on-death should not be used when the player doesn't respawn, or when he might respawn as seagull. Default: false.

TACTrifleRespawn : When true, the player's default respawn weapon (M16/AK74 w/ one mag) is replaced by the weapon specified by init parameters. Handy for DM missions. Default: false.

TACTweaponFX : When true, small arms and AT missiles produce extra particle effects (only on soldiers with the eventHandlers enabled). Default: true.

You can turn any of these variables on or off during a mission to end the effects. If a player is bleeding and TACTbleeding is turned off, the player instantly stops bleeding.

can u just tell me then mr expert

on how to turn it off using a trigger or wat to write in the init. field

since i dont know wat the f*** wat global variables mean

i just make simple missions with little scripts and a whole bunch of triggers

Make a trigger that has it's activation at true, in it's init field put TACThitEffects = OFF

feel free to yell at me if this has been mentioned and I missed it, but how do you get the AI soldiers to use the javelin? I worked out how to use it myself after blowing myself up a dozen times tounge_o.gif but I cannot get ai troops to let fly.

I'm thinking that it was the OFP.info mirror that screwed me up. I tried downloading with it again then, and it gave me a time out error. I was only on for a minute!

Oh well, shit happens. It's just that this is the first time I'd ever had such a shity download experience.

I'll have to wait till tomorrow now before I can play with these. It's Saturday night, and it's beer o'clock.

1.)Does BIS care if we re-release some of the single player missions with new units?

2.)Is the Marine medic the Naval Corpsman?

@ozanzac, try winzip, inferior compression yes, but it sure doesn't give me retarded errors like winrar.

They don't care.

cegorach: The AI don't use the Javelin. If they did they'd take out your whole squad in the process :]

The 'not being able to heal at a medic' thing is only happening in multiplayer, single player works fine.

We have Deltas in the same mission and are able to heal at them but not the Naval Corpsman.

Anyone else tried this in a co-op on a dedicated server?

I saw the pic and I had actually not checked the desert variety. I think this may be a bug. Thanks for the heads up!

Man its sad we dont have to many Marine transportation for these Soldiers.Looks like I need to get on the ball an get something done.But I want also add that these units are the shiznit. smile_o.gif

I agree that the SAW has way too low recoil.

I mean, I was playing with FDF mod with increased recoil and the SAW was like a sniper rifle while standing up. wow_o.gifsad_o.gif

Is there any chance of u fixing the reversed custom face issue? It is annoying having my name and squad logo the wrong way round.

Excellent work, but theres one niggly bit that don't make sense. This is the scope view of the AK's grenade launcher.

They don't care about that. Imho maybe you should add some own content to make them even a bit more unique... maybe some bigger intros, or something similiar.

Are you guys going to release a SP mission pack for the soldiers.

And whats the booster pack that wasn't included, as mentioned on your site?

I've actually seen a SAW being fired, and the recoil isn't that high, really. It's a heavy gun, which compensates. That said, the recoil is a TINY bit too low, but it's not really a huge problem.

Oh, and that force recon scout model? One of the most nifty OFP soldiers i've seen so far. biggrin_o.gif

Edit: does someone want to teach this uneducated idiot how to use grenade launcher Iron sights properly? I've never really understood them.

I can't getting the soldiers work with the bloodmod.

I use the gmr mod with a blood mod bin-config, and I'm playing the game with 2 mod folders, one for the gmr explo mod and one for the USMC soldiers.

target path of exe

OperationFlashpoint\FLASHPOINTRESISTANCE.EXE -nosplash -mod=@USMC;@GMR_exploMOD

if I start the exe and shoot down normal soldiers, they bleed. But if I shoot down a USMC soldier, he doesn't bleed.

The pbo file of the blood mod is located in the GMR_exploMOD folder...

I think so, the Russian underbarrel grenade launchers do have real sights. But according to Vyacheslav Mironov they are almost never used because you learn how to aim it after the first few days of using it. I guess this is to reflect that fact.

I think you should try and disable the TACT bleeding:

Make it false.

Does anyone else have trouble figuring out how to use all the new optics?

I think a PDF/html document with the addon that explains how to adjust your range to target etc. would be very, very useful. smile_o.gif

Very nice units and weapons guys, lots of fun. I especially like the wounding effects, makes for some interesting moments.

I put together a quick little mission for the russian soldiers, just something basic:
