Real life photography/photo editing

Recommended Posts

More curve-stomping; there was great lighting at sunset today, these are taken out of my window.  I'm having big issues with my laptop LCD, since a few degrees difference in vertical viewing angle makes a *big* difference in the appearance/curve of values, especially the bottom end of the darks.  So I'm not really sure if I'm on target.

I found tons of dust on the sensor, I was trying to get some longer exposures by tightening right up to f32 and exposing for 3-4 seconds.  Those dust specs show up easily with such a small aperture.  I stamped them out in photoshop, but will have to get that thing cleaned.

I hope this thumbnail function works, it's not the best pic, but whatever I tried I couldn't get it to a 100kb it all jumped between 103-118kb using different programs and qualities so I got tired of it and simply uploaded it, I hope you forgive me smile_o.gif

has the one with the clouds had a long(ish) exposure? You really seem to get a sense of movement and flow in the picture

you mean the second one?

No actually I made it out of a bus while it was going quite fast, I'm kinda glad and was really lucky to get that shot and no reflections of the window either

I'm really new to photographing and got myself a Nikon Coolpix P2 for that trip, which is mostly enough for my usage (although it led me down while photographing baby seals standing less than 2 meters away from them, it simply was too dark at that place I think)

Great Pics Supah.

Here are a few from recent commercial work... I am nearly at the point of making my 'hobby' self-sufficient...

Its great getting paid the normal fee to mix the band playing at the event, PLUS sell the organisers some photo's afterwards!

hehe double dipping...

Awesome shots killagee. Great to hear you're getting some income from it smile_o.gif

supah: I can't say it enough - you're a lucky bastard being able to fly around and see all these airshows.

earl: Man those were some wicked skies weren't they? smile_o.gif

Hey cool Killagee that you actually are making some money of your photography. It is good enough to do so smile_o.gif I've been stuck in a creative blackhole a bit recently where my non aviation photography is concerned.

That Ju-52 reminds me of this picture that was on Airliners.net the other day... WARNING: NOT MY PHOTO!

Hey Supah do you post on Airliners.net? You should, you might even sell a few?
