Supah 0 Posted August 23, 2005 Using your Aperture settings Yeah that works on small things, short distance, macro style. But I can't make it look like that canoe picture. It gets a little bit blurrier but even that's probably only because of the longer exposure and hand shaking. Think that that's down to your camera my 350D with the 70-300 mm lens does do stuff like that.
iNeo 0 Posted August 23, 2005 What a piece of crap then heh. It's pretty good the Panasonic FZ5 but it should be able to have an exposure longer than 8 seconds and better control of depth of field. For what it costs.

chops 111 Posted August 25, 2005 Some sweet pics in here gents! I have a point and shoot digital camera and I've just bought an oldish 35mm camera (Canon EOS 1000 QD) to take on my trip to Europe . I'm intereted in learning a few tricks with appeture, shutter speed and all that stuff, but am a total begginer. Can anyone recommend a good website as an introduction? Cheers! DBR_ONIX 0 Posted August 26, 2005 Really nice pictures this one could have done with being cropped a little (The thing in the bottom left looks a bit messy). Still looks really good though http://forums.bistudio.com/oldsmileys/biggrin_o.gif[/img] - Ben
chops 111 Posted August 26, 2005 sure man! read through this Heh cheers mate! Hopefully I'll be able to show yas a few photos later on... @SniperUK02 I spent a day in Derry in 2001, fascinating place, if a little unnerving, with all those watchtowers around. Nice to see that the murals are mainly tourist attractions now, rahter than incitements to violence.

Some of it is just plain canon sales talk though But thats easy to pick out! Hope its of some use to you

killagee 0 Posted August 29, 2005 Hey everybody. I have been away working for a month but now i am back and just have time to get some photo's up before i head off for another two weeks. Here are a selection of some of the photo's i took while on tour with Goldenhorse around NZ. I hope you like them. I took hundreds of shots over the month ( but i had to give most attention to my proper job as an Audio Engineer first) and its gets to be a bit of an effort going through and editing them all. Thereforse these are all straight conversions from RAW.

F-16AM 322 Sqn J-004 @ RNLAF Leeuwarden (EHLW) F-15C 840019 USAF @ RNLAF Leeuwarden (EHLW) In the background you can see his buddy turning on to final. Think thats close? There was actually a F-16AM landing in between these two guys
Architeuthis 9 Posted August 29, 2005 Well, might aswell post here too. I see that I'm in the company of some great artists here. Well decided to scour the countryside with my canon 350d (unfortunately still with kit lens) and took a couple of shots. Here's one that turned out decent. Click me for a less compressed version.
