Ofp is the most incredible game

I just picked up the GOTY edition at CompUSA for 29.99 and I can easily say it was the best game i've ever purchased.

Everything about it is just so perfect. The atmosphere.. My god! I've been playing through the CWC campaign and I've never been so into what I was doing, reality just shuts out for me and I actually feel like i'm Armstrong, or Gastovski. Its quite the experience.

I'm about halfway through the campaign, and on the guardian mission (SOOOO hard)

Anyways sorry you had to listen to my rambling if you've read this far, I just needed to share my excitment for this game with everyone.

I only wish I would of bought it sooner, when it was more popular..

The best thing about OFP is that it is a MODers delight.

Remember to get the latest patch so your up to version 1.91 of OFP

And maybe consider getting 1.94beta both you can get from links in this forum.

Some Class ones are BAS, DKM, SEB, UKForces, FDF, The people making the beautiful Rusian addons, the WWII mod the, Falklands MOD and hundreds of others covering every major conflict in the past 100 years.

You might also consider looking at our site the CoC (click my sig link) we have put in divers, nukes torpedoes, AP mines with claymores and we have just put real artillery in with help of the some of the above MODs.

And when your ready and controling a squad is getting easy step up The Chain of Command and try our Command Engine which turns OFP into a full blown strategy game, C&C Generals dont even come close.

This is with out doubt the best game you will ever play.

It is a shame it wasn't advertised more, but it's probably produced a more mature community because of it. Not a bad thing, not at all.

If you've got a fairly good system, you can download a set of improved CWC Islands from this thread. Installation is very easy, just make some back-ups of the original islands and then copy the included abel.wrp, cain.wrp, and eden.wrp into your OperationFlashpoint/Worlds folder. The improved look of the islands really spices up CWC .

Yep Hellfish doesnt bites only gives you yellow and red squares

Yes! I finnaly beat the guardian mission. I think I had to start the whole mission over like 5 different times

And I just got to see just how sweet revenge can taste in OFP the last 2 times I tried to beat the mission I was blown up right before the airport by an RPG Soldier, I could never spot him

This time though my whole squad died. So I took my hummer and snuck in behind the airport while the convy waited at a city and I finnaly spotted that damn RPG soldier and his squad, I took my hummer and freaken ran over the RPG soldier at like 40MPH, then I chased down his little friends and ran them over 1 by 1. GOD THAT FELT GOOD.

Got treated to a cool rock song after the mission too I wonder who that was performed by?

Just move the 'Johnny.Eden.pbo' to your Missions folder in your Operation Flashpoint foldier. You can access the video from the Single Player missions screen. You probably knew all of that, but in case you didn't...

Yep Seventh rock IMO, lifeless is the best rock song to fit in with a War game since One by Metallica for me

Try playing around with the group formations (in your radio menu) unit behaviours etc, you will loose a lot less men if you command them well.

I don't think One fits in the game all that well, it is a bit low quality (unless you use the S&M version) It just doesn't feel right.
