bn880 5 Posted October 11, 2003 Quote[/b] ]- Command "private" did not work when variable name contained any upper case letter. Okaay, so someone from BIS did care about this. Now, time to fix my scripts which exploited this. hehhe And time to test UA against 1.94 to find if CTD is better now. Thanks BIS...

ExtracTioN 0 Posted October 11, 2003 does this also place another exe file like 1.92beta.exe
iNeo 0 Posted October 11, 2003 does this also place another exe file like 1.92beta.exe Yes, it's called FLASHPOINTBETA.exe. It has got no version number in its name so it could be likely this is the very last patch that's going to be released - 2Ë years after 1.00 Edit: Oh I see my theory was wrong which is even better.
maruk 80 Posted October 11, 2003 does this also place another exe file like 1.92beta.exe You can just delete manually flashoint192beta.exe. The beta is now called just flashpointbeta.exe to avoid this problem in future.

lee_h._oswald 0 Posted October 11, 2003 Wow, BIS-Support is BEST EVER!! Thank you so much! MfG Lee Ok, tested with "evil hardcore settings". Island: BAS Tonal. Addons: ~700MB total. Settings: 1280*1024(32), AA4x, AF4x Viewdistance: 5000 Flying with a FA18 over tonal, OFP crashed to desktop after flying ~1minute and gave me this error: And you know what! I think it´s OFP´s right to crash with this "evil settings"! Testing with less addons @ viewdistance 3000 seems to work fine now. I will test more. Great! ____ Edit2: I forgot to use the -nomap command line. Now it works! CTD IS HISTORY!! Jipppie!

lee_h._oswald 0 Posted October 11, 2003 I can´t produce a CTD anymore. Finally OFP runs at a 100% stability for me! And I have the feeling, it runs a little faster than befor. Also AGP-Settings 128, 256 and 512 are possible now. I can´t say "THANK YOU BIS-Team" enough! THX! MfG Lee

quicksand 0 Posted October 11, 2003 WOW!!!I think it`s finally perfect...Everything works without a flaw I experience no CTD anymore and I also have the feeling it runs smoother...I wanna use this chance to also say THANK YOU BIS for creating the game that got me hooked up for more then 2 years...I trully am a flashpoint addict
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted October 11, 2003 What does the -nomap command line do? Quote[/b] ]Different file-acess technique used when memory mapping fails. This should prevent Cannot memory map file errors. This alternative technique can be also enforced for all files by using command line switch -nomap --- And finally vehicles can be salvaged(MFCTI)/deleted while they are burning/exploding/smoking/whatever. No CTD! Is it X-mas today ? ? ? MfG Lee
