Like the topic reads which one do you think has been made so many times that you have lost count.

For me its the M-4,M-16 varients

Some hueys as well .. but the M-4's MUST BE STOPPED.

BAS made the standard now people just use them DONT make new ones

F117 has been done alot yet no good ones THAT YOU CAN SEE OUT OF have been released. Well that is except Bigpoppa's.

M4, Barrett (none of them good), Desert eagle (probably 3 different), MP5, UH-1 (the vietnam-era, not the modern ones.), Littlebirds (3 already +1 coming out from TOW, plus ones in Nam pack 2 and FDF, based off the BAS LB) Those are all i can think of...

This is just off the top of my head, It´s just the impression I have of these addons...not aimed at any authors in particular, BTW

Edit: Oh and all jet addons...there are some gems, but jets aren´t suited for ofp at all IMO.

Definately MP5's and M4/M16 weapons, altho I think that Suchey's AR15-type weapons will set the standard, they are fantastic.

I couldn't care less how many addons there are! Most budding moddders cut their teeth on the Barret and M4. I did (though not released). How do we hope to replace the Likes of Col Klink if we don't nurture young talent. If you don't like it don't download it! Please don't jump to the conclusion that I'm flaming it's just my point of view.

Definately HK products and the Colt Commando, m4, and m16 addons have been done in overkill amounts. I support people trying out their talents and experimenting, but some of the low grade addons, especially infantry weapons need to be honorably buried so others won't download a now older and obsolete weapon addon.

Areas that need emphasis is good Aircraft addons (like the current F-117 addon), well designed vehicles, well designed armored vehicles, and environmental objects such as houses, buildings, and industrial complexes like the AGS Industrial pack.

Weapons: Well I think all the Posible Weapons have been made for OFP so stop that

Hummers??!!! There really aren't any good hummer with weapons, the ones that are out either bounce so much you can't shoot from them, or have pretty major bugs.

I do think that there needs to be some more enterable buildings, that fit with the BIS ones.

Try FlipeR's M4 pack. IMO better than BAS.

I just want to thank all the Addon makers who make the same thing that has already been made .With out this we wouldnt have options as to what type of addon we like the best.I dont like the Idea of just having 1 M4 of what ever the addon might be.Not everyone likes the same addon as you do

Err I'm still waiting for a decent one (espeacially for the BAS ones)

ALl hummers I tried were either normal retextures without a gun or if they had guns they usually were bugged or the textures were stolen. So... I have only the standart BIS hummer.

@Ezei: YES ww2 addons seems like some competition who can make the addon just like the one that got published yesterday....eeeek how many TIGER tanks are there? Just because of that i havent delved in to ww2 addons only got Inv 1944demo. I am waiting for Maarfy's units though

If someone can create better M4's by all means go right ahead!  Just because we are "satisfied" with the ones now(we, are?  Personally, I'm almost never satisfied, everthing can always be just a little bit better), doesn't mean that we won't be more "satisfied"  with a new one.  Personally, I like Inquistitior's M4's, especially the scopes and textures, better than the BAS ones.  People w/ older computers might not, but its a personal preferance.  If you absoolutely can't stand an addon, then don't download it, its the addon makers choice. I'm sure there's M-4 variants that haven't been made yet, and I'm sure the ones already made could be imroved upon in detail/textures/config accuracy/etc.

Yes there is always room for improvement but you cant use that argument to drag a 1000 M-4's in your folder???

Its difficult for mission-makers to choose then since people will have to look for some unknown M-4 just to play a mission ..(which might be crap anyway ),Besides who wants to write codes in inits fields for hours just to add one gun to a group(s) of soldiers

What i am saying is that there comes a point where you say its done now gt over it and do something else..i am sure OFP is great but BIS wont keep on tweaking it and make more patches .... surely its done its life is coming to an end after 1-2 more years so we have OFP 2 now in the making.

Improvement can be done but how about doing it on the BAS's M-4's?

Dude, you have no idea what your talking about.

Download the digitalgrenade.com addon pack, install it, and then look under west men under "M4A1 - blah" and you'll see an OBVIOUS difference in quality.

I would have to say small arms addons have been the most over done. I however do not see this as a totally bad thing. If an addon maker feels that he or she needs to do a M4 or an AK then so be it, it keeps that person interested in the game. I would like to see more different and unique small arms though, things like civilian firearms.
