Stag 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Regular forces don't use SMGs at all. The weapon of the support troops is an SA80 without the SUSAT. The MP5 is used by Special Forces, the Stirling is long gone.
Major Fubar 0 Posted September 25, 2003 I see. Thanks for the info. OK, any plans to include a sniper with the pack, hopefully with an L42A1?
Supah 0 Posted September 25, 2003 They look great! The Landrover behind them (or is my eye sight that horrible?) Looks good too
Jonno 0 Posted September 25, 2003 We hadnt intended to include a sniper in this pack, and if we did it would have a L96, or possibly a L115A1, but as iv said elsewhere before, we will likely update this pack later on, hopefully adding custom anims, and quite possibly the L96 and/or L115A1, aswell as some other weapon/s we wont have in this pack. lpdotcom 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Just out of interest would you make an SAS addon to the same high quality?

AKM 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Da-Amn... These units look fantastic. Well, the only thing I can think of that I'd like to see as well is: Highland Regiment. If you're doing the variable Regiments of Britian, I am fairly certian at least one or two of them are Highland regiments. I'm thinking Tamoshanter/Tamoshantern, and I'm fairly certian that some regiments have the hackle behind the capbrass on their tams as well. Well, I'm absolutly estatic. Now, I can field Canadians and Britishers at the same time. Excellence! AK
AKM 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Awww shiiiit. 'Comon, someone please tell me I didn't kill the thread here guys. AK
vade_101 0 Posted September 25, 2003 its not beyond the realms of possibility, i'd like to see highland headress too, but it all comes down to time.
AKM 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Yes, of course. I wasn't really expecting a 1.0 release, so much as I was hoping it'd be in the 1.5 or something. It all is a time thing. But the concept remains the same: They kick ass. (units, not the Tam) AK
hellfish6 7 Posted September 25, 2003 Are the Durham Light Infantry still a recognized regiment, or were they phased out/consolidated?

Bordoy 0 Posted September 25, 2003 These look absoulatly amazing. Good job UKF Team. I would like to see the "Worcestshire & Sherwood Foresters Regiment" included, as my brother is in there.

Bordoy 0 Posted September 26, 2003 I would just like to point out that in the second picture, that guy is prone, he wouldn't have his left hand there as that gets roasting hot. Is that possible to change? or limitation in OFP engine?
GoOB 0 Posted September 26, 2003 Is there any possibility that you would release a landie with this pack? Afterall they need transport, and those landies in the pictures looks so sweet And I atleast do not mind waiting, it only makes it more sweet

Is that possible to change? or limitation in OFP engine? Unfortunatly, to change that would require a new weapons animation, and would delay the release even more, especially implementing it. I figure, that with these units, and the Operation Frenchpoint Mod, and Trinity 2.0, I will make a MP Campaign involving French forces invading Trinity island for some ficticious reason or other, etc. etc. etc. It should turn out well. AKM 0 Posted September 27, 2003 *Rocks back and forth on swivel chair, which is funny, considering how last time I fell over and hit my head, but that's besides the point.* (BTW, no Brain Damage if you are wondering.) hmmm... I wonder what Mr. C-7 and his associate, Mr. SA-80 have to say about that to Ms. FAMAS here. Hehehe. No, seriously, this could turn out pretty well, especially if we've got Genuine Frenchmen playing the role of the invading French forces. Now, THAT, would be something to see. But, I'll try and stay on topic. AK
CanadianTerror 0 Posted September 27, 2003 I dont mean to stray off topic myself but I'm going to go blast frenchies on the Canadian prairies right now. I'll use a squad of brits as support just to stay on topic for this thread.
