Nogova police units - update

I will wait very long for quality work such as this. As for the decision to keep the police "bikers" helmetless it is a good idea. Since many biker cops I see on the walkways here in Sweden don't wear helmets.

I fully agree with DeadMeat on that. Stick to mid eighties tech-wise and mix older soviet style equipment with some Western low-spec stuff. Perfect.

As someones allready pointed out, there are a lot of really good suggestions in here, I will take them into consideration, and see what I come up with.

About the van, I haven't downloaded it yet, but if Jirkus is willing to play, then I'm game

That van has some weird look. Furthermore I think it's a little too fast (especially off-road). There ain't some interior modelled yet for the back part, just the driver cabin, so a lot of work would have to be done in that matter. I would also see that if there will be a coversion of the van, it will come with nogova compatible number plate, not the yellow one it has right now.

If the vehicle is chosen for becoming that van, I'd really suggest that it's values will make it have it's own place within the police car family. Mainly by making it slower (also off-road) but with an increased transport capacity on the other hand. Right now, it can match speed with the Jeep or the GAZ. Ah well, we will see.

I think a lot of people are misunderstanding Deadmeat. From what I can tell this is gonna be a Nogova police addon, not LAPD.

There is no reason for SWAT teams or riot police on a tiny european island with a few small towns and a bunch of villages. I think what he has looks good, though I hope you plan on removing the automatic machine gun from the boat

What I'd like to see on at least one of your future police units is a lightbar. Obviously this wouldn't be one of the ultra-modern 2'' tall LED types you can see from 30 miles aways with 30/200 vision, but instead, one of older more 'blocky' type that was common in the mid-80's. It would be nice to see different types of emergency lighting on your units. In any case it would be easier to for the Nogovan population to see when compared to the rotating beacons currently on police apparatus.

I will be more than happy to post photos if your are interested in the idea.
