Hl2 high, high res videos

Is anyone getting the new Direct Feed e3 videos for HL2 via Steam? some are hex editing there cache files to get the new videos and i must say in there high res glory im truly more impressed

On the topic of videos, has anyone seen the latest one for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.? It looks amazing, the physics engine really is terrific. Also in the beginning it shows a real smokestack on one Chernobyl reactor, then it switches to ingame. I couldn't tell the difference until I watched it a couple times.

alot of game sites are hosting the HL2 Videos, dont be put off by there size, which is around 70 mg each there very high res ie 1024 so its only a short time around 1.5 minutes each but its worth it.

ps there being released each night.

There's a radioactivity release at Chernobyl and local animals turn into evil animals and some wierd stuff starts happing.

Your job is to go collect stuff and shoot some stuff.

hear from where lol? their forum? There is no official remark stating that it is postponed, and if you go to the halflife2.net forums, and read the email from Gabe newell, you will see that he always said that the date remains the same. The thing that in worst case could happen is that you cant get the game in stores, but you can get it though steam. that at least is my theory

I'd look forward to Stalker a lot more if it weren't for all that mutant animal crap, instead of all that I would have preferred some kind of soldier versus terrorist organisation conflict, something along the lines of Chechnya (in concept nothing else), hopefully the engine is such that a game that does appeal to me can be made out of it.

Same goes with HL2, that would be a great game if it weren't the alien stuff, human versus secret governmental conspiracy organisation type thing would be better, HL1 for me only became a great game the first time those government soldiers attack. Again I'm more looking forward to games made from the engine rather than the game itself.

I hope STALKER is mod- able. Into games like ghost recon (with better graphics). The only thing I worry about is that it is going to be the laggiet game in the world. My computer can hardly take the high res version of the trailer.

why in stalker and half life 2 everyone is your enemy.. (Mutants and Soldiers) what i like is team based combat not some crap "HERO" style game where your alone against 50000 enemies and you still win. lol.

Hmm the dev's of Stalker said the minimum requirements are low, but "Support for all second generation D3D compatible accelerators (TNT/Voodo2/etc), optimized for Geforce2 and up". Obviously you might not be able to play the game with all the high end stuff enabled, but you will still be able to play it.

I'd rather have Stalker the way it is, the story is creative, a soldier versus terrorist organization thing has been done to the death. You have to remember that Stalker isn't only with the mutant animals (the only mutant animals right now I know about are the rat wolves), but against other Stalkers.

Who said that? In Stalker you ally yourself with other Stalkers, not go out by yourself, same with Half-Life 2, haven't you seen the latest video, Barricade? You are with a group of other soldiers and there is team based combat, although you don't give orders to your allies.
