Unofficial patch ArmA Resistance 2.01

The multiplayer servers aren't popping up for me, has this happened with anyone else?

Hi Xetex,

 

I finally got this, but after installing I get this error and no game start.

 

"Texture has bad pixel format (VRAM)"

I need some help, I can't equip my NV goggles. I read what the author said about posting the thing in the config.cpp thing but I don't know how to paste that into the config file the OP was talking about, nor do I know how to open it. I love this unoffical patch but all I need help with is the NV goggles and Bino problem.

Any idea why is not working under WINE on my Linux OS? Maybe library d3d8.dll?

below you have everything written, if you do not know how to add it, please write what version you use (ECP, FDF, FFUR....), I will do it for you

 

! ATTENTION ! These parameters may not exist in config.bin if this file replacing by mods. In this situation these parameters are assigned by default as false and can cause problems. To fix this problem you need to add those missing parameters in config.bin:

·         for Binoculars - IsBinocular=1;

·         for NVG - isNVG=1;

          isBinocular=0; (because NVG is inherited from binoculars)

Installed on clear 1.99 version and cannot run it :/

"Texture has bad pixel format (VRAM)" problem occured.

 

Any solution?

Problem solved via "-nosplash". One of textures in intro was broken.

Did anyone manage to find out how to use this patch with DXDLL and fwatch?

 

DXDLL seems to work fine aside from Specian NV effect and fading (it's noticable obly with max brightness).

I've added exe to the list so you can try this. Memory operations are not supported.

Could you make a version for FFUR 2007 2.5? Thanks, much appreciated

I misread his question, that's on me (thought he said if I gave him the version he'd make a .bin file that has it) but I do not know how to get into the .bin file to post the code.  The code is easy to copy, but for the love of everything holy I cannot find anything on how to access the .bin file

Thank you! It works, but may I know what type of program you used to add the code to the config.bin? Just so I don't have to ask again if I use a different mod

I tried dropping that DLL in the game folder, no joy.. Game works without this patch. Guess I will let it go.

Just reinstalled, and downloading GRAA right now

Is NVG/Bino thing the only adjustement needed for 1.96 mods to work in 2.01, or there's more config changes I should be aware of?

awesome patch, but hey! is it possible to run this patch through steam? so like when i press play on steam, it launches 2 01 ver instead of 1 99? it would be just convenient for me that way. thank you

As a fan of Doom, you should figure out that much: back ColdWarAssault.exe and rename ArmAResistance.exe. Same trick you use to fool steam into thinking it launches dosbox, not a source port

The script command about set postion and velocity to vehicles whose simulation is "tank" have bugs in OFP, will they be fixed in further 2.01?

And vehicles whose simulation is "car" or "ship" can't shot missiles thus many addons use script to gain virtual missile shot by car/ship. May them allow to shot missile in furhter 2.01?

Installer of the patch contains "Command Reference 2.01 [English].rtf". Use it! 😉
