TomHorn 14 Posted July 29, 2017 Could anyone tell me if the use of a suppressor in any way affects a gun's power or 'knock down' ability? I notice applying it to a weapon doesn't seem to affect the power bar in the stats. Many thanks

EricR 57 Posted July 29, 2017 Hi @RoC TomHorn, As in real life, suppressors increase slightly (up to 3%) the velocity of the bullets, so indeed, it gives more power to the weapons, which is not displayed in the Equipement page though. Maybe it will in a futur update.

GhettoGrill 6 Posted July 30, 2017 It seems to affect the spread of the bullets when fireing auto !

Flying-Coyotus 12 Posted July 30, 2017 Hello, I made some tests with MK-I EMR, AMS Scope, with/without suppressor: Range AMS Scope (.mildot) With Supressor Without Suppressor 100 m -1 -1 200 m -1 -1,5 300 m -2 -2,1 400 m -3 -3 500 m -4 -4 600 m -5 -5 700 m -6.5 -7 800 m -8 -8,5
TomHorn 14 Posted July 30, 2017 Wow! Thanks for that flyingcoyotus......I think it's therefore safe to assume that it makes no difference to the weapon's ability whether a suppressor is used or not.
ProTz 13 Posted July 31, 2017 Am i the only one who thinks that suppressors should only be available in lower calibers? I think it kinda ruins the fun of sniping when you can sit on a mountain and fire repeatedly without alerting anyone who is outside a 50m radius. Feels a bit cheaty to me...
