Col. Kurtz 0 Posted March 6, 2003 I'f only I had some super rich realitves in America that could buy a copy of FB (Along with a very cool joystick) and have it all FedExed over here... The closest I have is a Great Aunt in Canada (or Canadia as I call it) who I don't exactly have contact with. I need to get seriously addicted to a game until FB comes out on the 20th. Oh well. I was given a 17" monitor yesterday (very happy to get rid of old 15") so now I will be able to see enemy planes better, and I will buy a joystick (probably a Logitech if I can find one) and so I will be all prepared to take to the skies, and get bounced from above

Tex -USMC- 0 Posted March 7, 2003 Here's my first batch of pics, expect more to follow (I'll get the I-153 cockpit shots next). All shots taken at 1024x768, 2xAA, and maxed out detail (I'm getting a decent framerate in all scenes on a GeForce 3). Enjoy:
Warin 0 Posted March 7, 2003 Oi. Now I really want to be home instead of at work! Those are damn sweet! Tex, we should fly co-op sometime. You can be the pilot, I'll be the gunner! That's the best place for me till I get some serious stick time in to reactivate the old flight sim reflexes again!

Supah 0 Posted March 7, 2003 Man this makes me feel like upgrading I have a low end p3 733 and this isnt gonna run smooth. Makes me remember my own baptism of fire (dunno how to translate first flight from dutch, air baptisme sounds to village people in a way) in a heeresflieger CH-53. That gunsight looks a bit useless, but oh well, with all those MG's converged at 100m and shooting from close range it shouldn't matter, especially with the new damage model. bn880 5 Posted March 7, 2003 Oh man, that is nice... the guages... Tovarish, thanks for the info, and compilers is like that, it's all about how you debug your code, and it takes time. Need to print out variables etc going in and out of functions. Also it's good to have a good C++ programmers "bible" as a kick ass command reference.
