Nichols 243 Posted July 18, 2018 Does anyone have a good settings for fragmentation in ACE? I am not finding much information on it and I would like to have it enabled in my missions but the server takes a massive dump when I turn it on even with as few as 10 objects being tracked. FPS goes down into the single digits when something as small as a frag grenade or a grenade from a grenade launcher explodes. We see massive issues coming up in the RPT to the point of where I end up turning it off in ACE and I hate that I can't use it. Maybe I am not using it correctly. OR MAYBE NEXT TIME I SHOULD VERIFY I EDITED THE CORRECT INITPLAYERLOCAL BEFORE POSTING! Thanks for your time and effort. I realized that I was modifying a different initplayerlocal.sqf in notepad++ from another version of the mission. I am not finding much information on it and I would like to have it enabled in my missions but the server takes a massive dump when I turn it on even with as few as 10 objects being tracked. FPS goes down into the single digits when something as small as a frag grenade or a grenade from a grenade launcher explodes. We see massive issues coming up in the RPT to the point of where I end up turning it off in ACE and I hate that I can't use it. Maybe I am not using it correctly. I cut it out of my mission as I noticed nearly a complete stoppage of the server when the AI or players were dropping 40mm grenades all around the target area. Steve 161st 26 Posted August 7, 2018 Has anyone else noticed that when playing in high wind strengths, (directly interrogate server for wind info shows 10m/s+) Shift-K or Kestel readings at ground level are always close to zero yet the effect of the wind on smoke is very noticeable? We first noticed this with sound mods like JSRS where it sounds very windy despite Kestrel readings being zero. (And yes, this is standing in the middle of a big, empty field, not directly downwind of a big building or hill!) I'm guessing that what we're seeing is the ground roughness effect and obstacle effects are influencing Kestrel readings(or Shift-K wind displays) but are not influencing smoke effects or the wind strength being fed to sound effect mods. I found a Korean typo when using a sutured kit in the current high-end medical category. It's not 붕합 중 It's the right word for 봉합 중(suturing). I would appreciate it if you could call the Korean translation team at the next update to correct the typos or to tell me to contact the Korean translation team of the ACE3 module.
