Will Tanoa/Apex be part of the Arma 3 DLC bundle when it comes out?

AFAIK no.

 

BIS have said it's only a perk for people who bought the original Supporter Edition before the game came out since that edition was advertised as including all DLC and non-standalone Expansions (Apex is an Expansion but not standalone).  The Special Edition, Digital Extended Edition and DLC Bundle were only ever advertised as including the DLCs; not expansions.

The DLC bundle included: helos, marksman and karts. That's it, nothing less, nothing more.

Only those who got the Arma 3 Supporter edition will get it for free.

All the rest will have to buy the expansion.

They already said how they're going to be handling this, in the link I posted before:

Basically this seems to read as:

 

• If you bought the Arma 3 Supporter Edition - well done; you already purchased Apex
• No Apex purchase - no Tanoa for you whatsoever, even if you own Arma 3 and the other DLC

• Own Arma 3 but not Apex - can try new weapons and vehicles from Apex for free in the Virtual Arsenal and have limited access to them in missions, same as previous DLC content

2. Is Apex content? Yes.

 

3. Did the dlc bundle promise to bring ALL current and FUTURE CONTENT that can be DOWNLOADED? Yes.

3. No. If anything, it promised DLCs. Apex was announced and is handeled as expansion. I bought it too and never saw it mentioning that I would get the (by then not even announced) Apex expansion.

Apex is not a DLC, it is an Expansion (unlike OA, is not standalone, but that said it is still an expansion)

I'm finding it incredibly suspicious that people who have been registered on the forums for several years, but with very very low post counts all of a sudden are starting to slag off Bohemia, and tear into updates in the past couple of weeks.. :rolleyes:

I couldn't agree more. Not only did the page never state it contained APEX (which many of them claim it did), from the very beginning it only included "Arma 3 Karts plus the upcoming Arma 3 Helicopters and Arma 3 Marksmen DLC"

I do think that circa 25€ isn't that much of a money for the content we are receiving. I simply don't understand the complaints here. I would pay even if there was only Tanoa in the APEX, not speaking about VTOLs, weapons, units, and a whole new campaign! :)

Have to agree here. Even if the all the new units, guns and gear were actual DLC try me stuff, I would have paid for Tanoa alone! Wait, I did. :D Of course, the price should scale for islands and gear respectively so users don't feel taken.

 

It is really semantics and English is not a first language for many Arma players. 

 

Next time BIS should just make it more OBVIOUS such as DLC = GEAR = stuff that you put into the game world. EXPANSION = ISLANDs / MAP PACKS = new worlds to play with all your new GEAR. 

 

DLC is so abused that it runs from hats, re-textured guns, stamps, coins, magic bullets, official cheats, and all types of other crap that has really low value or substance. 

 

But today's economy in many countries are actually BAD. I mean really bad so I wouldn't slag people who are really tight on money. Sometimes it is really a choice between eating, electricity and internet just to goto work, finish school and trying to live a "regular" life for some. And then they take it out on game forums when their problems actually persist elsewhere as they have no other outlet to vent. So I usually just brush it off. 

 

Of course, you can always hunt them down in online games if they really annoy you. :D
