LSD_Timewarp82 21 Posted August 6, 2015 Man this is a frustrating one. It'll work fine for a few days for the most part, then start freezing at loadup, now Arma3 won't start period if I leave the dxgi.dll in the root. I copied the dxgi.log thinking maybe someone could make sense of this -once you play with it, it's hard to play wihout! 06/08/2015 10:58:49:187 [03820] | INFO | Initializing Crosire's ReShade version '0.19.2.904' built on '2015-07-04 14:32:47' loaded from "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\dxgi.dll" to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\arma3.exe" ... 06/08/2015 10:58:49:215 [03820] | INFO | Registering hooks for "C:\Windows\system32\d3d8.dll" ... 06/08/2015 10:58:49:215 [03820] | INFO | > Delayed. 06/08/2015 10:58:49:215 [03820] | INFO | Registering hooks for "C:\Windows\system32\d3d9.dll" ... 06/08/2015 10:58:49:215 [03820] | INFO | > Delayed. 06/08/2015 10:58:49:215 [03820] | INFO | Registering hooks for "C:\Windows\system32\d3d10.dll" ... 06/08/2015 10:58:49:215 [03820] | INFO | > Libraries loaded. 06/08/2015 10:58:49:216 [03820] | INFO | > Found 2 match(es). xxbbcc 6 Posted August 7, 2015 Solano, thank you for your work on this - in general, the changes you made make Arma 3 a lot more visually appealing. I just recently installed v6 after using v5 for a while. In general, I like v6 more than v5 but there are some things that bother me a lot - some of them were already mentioned in earlier messages. One is that midday vegetation seems overly red. (Actually, most colors seem highly oversaturated on clear sunny days.) It feels almost cartoonish, just like one of the other posters mentioned. Is it possible to tone it down? Another is: the red rooftops of buildings take on a very deep, intense dark red color (perhaps with a hint of blue) during overcast weather; they look almost alien. I like the brighter, fuller colors of your addon but v6 feels over-saturated. I think the most natural colors (appearance?) would be the saturation of v5 with the brightness fixes you applied in v6. I like the brighter, fuller colors of your addon but v6 feels over-saturated. I think the most natural colors (appearance?) would be the saturation of v5 with the brightness fixes you applied in v6. You are welcome! It makes me very happy when people enjoy it as much as I do. I will check the red´s again for the default look. About the rooftops - I am aware of that somehow odd tone at some conditions and I can understand that you don´t like it. The roofs must share the same color space with something else so I think it was a trade off that had to be made. But maybe I can reduce that in the default look with the LUT. Yeah I see - the saturation is a point where many opinions divide. For that reason I did some general changes in V6 technically to let the user adjust that much faster to his likings. You got two easy options for the points you wrote. You can try the neutral LUT to get rid of some color tones you don´t like. For the saturation you can go to the Quick controls in the SweetFX_settings.cfg in your ReShade folder. You can easily customize the saturation, contrast, tones and sharpening from there. I published some reference shots on my page with values for vibrance and their result - based on the default LUT. Regards
serjames 357 Posted August 7, 2015 .... highly oversaturated.... Try one of Solano's alternative LUT's there is a neutral one that tones down the saturation and colour cast a little without losing the brightness and "punch". EDIT: - #NinJa'd

Solano 176 Posted August 10, 2015 Does Battleye detects ReShade as cheat or something? Can you be banned for using it on multiplayer servers? Hi wedieyounge, I get this question a lot and I always refer to my own experience. I´ve been using ReShade in many (online) games for hundreds of hours now and never had a single incident nor did my buddies who use it too. I never heard of ban in general. In fact the dll which hooks into your game stream to achieve the visual effect is whitelisted by BattlEye. I spent many hours even in GTA V Online with this injector and never had a problem although we are talking abour RockStar here ;)

Solano 176 Posted August 11, 2015 ! OK - it seems that the current manual on my page with the provided files for Real Light V6 and the new released version of ReShade 1.0 don´t work together. I will solve this tomorrow - just wanted to warn everyone not to update ReShade yet and tell anyone who is curious why the game does funny things but not start with this combination. Thanks in advance for your patience - I´ll update here as soon as I have hopefully positive results. <_<

Cos I see dem peoples be using v6 prior to this 1.0 reshade update and it works...but the real light v6 package on Solano's page seems to be designed for 1.0 Real Light V6 works with ReShade (and the Framework) 0.1.92 just fine. The 1.0 Release of ReShade is the issue here with the preset of mine. The package / configs I provide on my page are not yet designed for 1.0. I will work on it today after I made a decision which is the easiest way for you guys to install it from now on.
Solano 176 Posted August 11, 2015 Sounds like V7 is on the way :-) I was thinking more of 6.2 because I it is just an adaptation to the 1.0 of ReShade without new features :)
Solano 176 Posted August 11, 2015 ! Unplanned update to Real Light 6.2 is live. I managed to transfer Real Light V6 now to ReShade´s 1.0 release which is at first only relevant for new users of course. All users who have Real Light already in ReShade 0.1.92 running can´t update just my package. You guys need to install it like the first time just with ReShade 1.0. Do you need to? Well, I did some refinement. Read more about in the following Changelog Changelog: - Adapted the Real Light V6 preset to the new 1.0 release of ReShade. - New Default LUT! Both versions of Real Light V6 now have a new default LUT. The first one had some color issues at some light conditions. It is gone with this new default. - In general I refined the Advanced version with the Ambient Light. I managed to erase a sometimes occurring green tint. So - this unplanned update got some good refinements in my opinion and Real Light is now by default much more natural in Colors. I will continue to update the project with more different LUTs for people who like to have / try different looks, more movie like, more stylistic and so on. But from now on the default look is neutral. It is a new LUT I designed for this purpose. Like before you can tweak the look of it regarding the contrast and vibrance in the now named "SweetFX.cfg" to your likings. Make it more vibrant, less vibrant - just make it yours. It is flexible like always. New default LUT Preview: Enjoy and as always I welcome your feedback! Solano

Seriously this is as funny as weird. Of course I am glad that it works now for you! Today I updated Real Light to work with the latest ReShade so maybe this odd bug is gone now. You can see if BattlEye is enabled in the Arma Launcher. There is a tab called BattlEye with a radio button.
megazogg 14 Posted August 11, 2015 Hi, Solano! I have a problem here - I tried to launch A3 with newest version of Real Light but nothing happens. I installed it by copying ReShade Folder, ReShade.fx and ReShade32.dll into Arma3 folder, then I opened ReShade folder and overwrite files there with the files from Real Light V6.2 - Advanced. Then I stated the game, it launched it seems since I can see arma3.exe running in task manager, but I still see the desktop. I am running Win7 x64, Geforce 980 with 353.62 driver. Then I stated the game, it launched it seems since I can see arma3.exe running in task manager, but I still see the desktop. I am running Win7 x64, Geforce 980 with 353.62 driver. Hi Megazogg - did you rename the ReShade32.dll to dxgi.dll ? Only then Reshade applies. Regards
tawah 13 Posted August 11, 2015 I also had this problem with arma3.exe running but nothing happened (staying on desktop). Try first to start with real light but no mods. For me, it was starting the game normally with real light also running as expected. Since it was a problem with Real light + another mod, I have found that it was due to CBA_A3... And the most strange in this situation is that I just reinstalled the same version of CBA (the last one, up to date, that was already installed) and now I can use all my mods + real light. Really strange.
banky 4 Posted August 12, 2015 I'm loving the new 6.2. The days are nice and bright but still have a good contrast, the colors are rich without being over saturated or "cartoony" as people have said. I have not found any reason to do any personal tweaks like I have with the previous versions. It just looks awesome and I thank you for all the work you put in tweaking this.
