Marshman,

Speaking as an ex-CH47 pilot, and having been inside a Mi26, I have to say that I think the scaling of the model looks about right. The Chinook is indeed impressive - shame no add-on maker has worked out how to put a minigun on each side and one on the ramp as we had in 1991 - but the Mi26 simply takes your breath away.

Oh, and a big thanks to the gentleman who posted the photo of the Hastings being lifted - my dad flew that one during the Berlin Airlift; he was delighted to see the picture.

I have to agree that the ofp one looks a bit too big

After looking at this pic and comparing it to the ingame shot, I can safely say that they are the same scale.

Look at both pics where ppl's heads are in relation to the chopper, the entry door starts at someone's face, just like the RL one.

I think the scale is good, but what makes me think it's too big is the left side door, it's a bit too wide. In the RL pics, the door is wide enough for one guy, but in OFP pic, it's wide enough for 1.5 men.

Maybe left door is too big, but while model scale is about right: on picture with snow & soldiers, first gear is "sealin" in snow little... maybe....

Now that's a fine piece of work, Stalker. If you're going to release it soon, I'll definately add it to my upcoming campaign Operation: Mercury. So please keep up the good work!  smile.gif

The textures are quite fine but a bit too bright. Make them darker if possible.
