ArmA 2 Stryker Pack

Recommended Posts

In infantry on cargo sit. I remember than in arma 2 I could command vehicle from back sit ( in Arma 2 stryker's one from sits was commanders sits). Driver and gunner have lower ranks.

Ok I've done some testing, if you enter the Commander Seat and then switch to the Passenger Seat you should have the ability to command the vehicle by pressing W, A, S, D

But gunner and commander are the same person. Try to separate them and make other sit for infantry team leader (who will command vehicle). I think that is good idea.

unfortunately I just noticed that they blow up after being hit by only 2 40mm Grenades from an UGL. Would be great if they could withstand a little more.

Yea real ones can take a real beating before you need to start worrying

I've update the armour values of the Stryker's and its now far more stronger, I also increased the acceleration so hopefully i'll release it soon for you to enjoy :)

Unless it's got Slat or get's hit in the engine, it can't take a RPG. (IRL)

Excellent, looking forward to the update!

I wanted to ask though, Have you have Improved the wheels on these a bit more? the current version's wheels still sink through the terrain and In some areas It's very noticeable and I'm just wondering If you plan on tweaking It a tad more? It would be nice, also I believe some folks earlier mentioned that the non slat version still has collision In the areas where the slats would be, It does Indeed make It hard to take cover behind when theirs an Invisible barrier blocking us from the vehicle, I hope that gets looked Into also :)

Great pack however, thanks for your time an effort put Into It!

Slatts is on the ball on that one. In-game it can survive 2 PCML Rockets when SLAT Armour is equipped and 0 when its not.

All of the collision issues have been fixed :) I'll play around with the wheels again until I'm happy with them as I figured out what caused the sinking problem.

Maybe this was asked in this thread.... is it true that the strykers are not able to wade through water ?? I played on several maps and as soon as i hit some water (even if its only a few ft deep) the engine turned off (without the possiblity to restart) or the vehicle sunk (which obviously result in a mission failure).

Hopefully i'll be able to get the update out today, if not then it will definitely be tomorrow. Here's a small teaser for whats in store for the next update though.

They're fun to drive (I only drove the FSV version back in '06-07) but can't help you with fording water as I never had the chance to.

New link is up :)

@WarLord554 Thanks a lot for that, i'll have a more proper read at it later but its going to really help me out.

@EricJ Awesome, do you known roughly if my estimate is ok? I've placed it around the 3m mark, I also read on the wiki that it could manage water levels up to its wheels but with you actually being in them then you might have more of an idea on what it can take.

I'd be lying to you if I said I knew exactly as I was stationed at Fort Sill as part of a training Battery and not say, Lewis, so maybe somebody who's used them more extensively than me can help out, as again, never forded a river even in training, all tank trails man :(

Ah its fine, hopefully someone else will know more about the water capabilities. I can remember seeing somewhere that there was an experimental amphibious version but I don't think it left the stages of prototype. It might be worth a try to make one though so i'll see whats happens :)

Stryker dont have water capability.

Only can cross the low level stream or river.even if car structure must on the rivers ground

Cant float

By the way, what ur next vehicle?

Really really hope something great like stryker.

Yeah I figure halfway up the wheels would be fine, as that seems more realistic as I know for a fact a HMMWV up-armored can ford a river, did that in in the Pech in Afghanistan and was a bit worried but we made it, which was good :)

Plus, can cross the water where the water levels are not over the half of car structure.

If stryker try to cross over deep water stream, will sink.

Here's a video of it's grand daddy fording

Given the extra weight of a Stryker I'd say just around wheel height would be good enough.
