BTW this is actually the AUG A3 CQC not the MSAR. or do you still have this issue with the MSAR ? Does anyone else have this issue? May I suggest redownload and make sure all PBO's are present. Gilatar 272 Posted December 21, 2015 Hello, blazenchamber. I'm a long-time fan of this mod, and we use SMA in my unit for pretty much all of our missions (I get complaints if we don't). Keep up the great work! Since I don't see any other place to report bugs or glitches, or the glitch itself being reported, I'll just go ahead and stick it here. Whenever I use some the SMA rifles and rest the weapon after going prone, the lower body of the character phases through the ground. It looks fine in first person, which is usually not an issue since that's exclusively how I play, but it is very noticeable in third person and for other players in a multiplayer environment. It only occurs when there is no bipod attachment, so if there's an actual bipod or a grippod of any kind mounted to the weapon it's usually fine. Here is an album of all the affected rifles that I found through testing with only CBA + SMA V2.1 + MRT Accessories. It's worth noting that the only rifles I couldn't reproduce this issue on was any of the AACs. The Minimi's obviously work fine since there are built-in bipods, but any other rifle other than the AAC seems to be affected by this. Looks like the weapon has no named point/vertex in the memory LOD set as the deployedPivot, or the point is too close to the weapon. Most, rifles inherit deployedPivot = "bipod"; from class Rifle_Base_F, so often just adding a memory point in the weapon called "bipod" will provide you with one. BIS weapons have this point even if they don't have an integral bipod, or option to attach bipods via the UNDERBARREL proxy - when a bipod attachment is added to the weapon it uses an alternate point defined in the attachment instead of the one in the weapon. You can name the point something other than "bipod" if you want. Or use an appropriate point that already exists in your memory LOD. The only difference is that then you'll have to write the deployedPivot = "XYZ"; parameter to your weapon class (replacing "XYZ" with the name of the point you want to use) rather than simply inherit it from BIS' base weapon classes. Obviously, if your weapons don't inherit from any of the game's base classes at all, or it inherits from one that doesn't already have deployedPivot = "bipod"; set within the class tree; then you'll need to add the parameter anyway. But if you do have a bipod point there already plus deployedPivot defined and it's still doing the clipping when prone; it might just be that you need to move the point further down, and suck up the fact that the weapon will deploy slightly higher up when deployed in a standing or crouched position on something like a window sill or wall. Regarding my previous comment about the AACs: they also have some clipping through the ground, but it's not as noticeable as the other weapons. This is how a vanilla ArmA 3 weapon looks, and this is how the AAC looks. I remember some other addons having the same issue around the time the marksman update was released, such as RHS for instance, but that has since been fixed. I'm guessing it has to do with some configuration BIS added for weapon resting with that update. Something related to this, maybe? Thanks It will happen on some of the HLC weapons, but Toadie said that if its not made to use a bipod then you shouldn't use the bipod action (since you'll already be using the weapon resting)..lol. Not exact words but gist of it. I know weapons like STI machine guns and older weapon packs that haven't been updated since before the marksmen dlc will cause you to sink into the ground upon using bipod action. ineptaphid 6413 Posted January 3, 2016 Hey guys.I saw a video from Jester814 a few weeks ago.They were using your HK416's but had made a small in house sound mod that altered the suppressed sound. Would you be ablt to make the suppressed sound slightly softer? I know that suppressed weapons are not silenced and are still loud,but I think the crack and echo is a little loud-Actually the sound they make in third person is great if that was added to the first person view :) Anyway-that's just my opinion.Thanks for making these incredible weapons.Cant wait for the update you mentioned :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
