Believe it was the Minimi Mk3 (7.62x51mm) which has quickly become the new favorite weapon of a friend of mine who usually runs a SAW.

It was the IWI Tavor, the Tavor model was not made from scratch by the SMA team, it was acquired (with consent) from another 3D modeler whom BlazenChamber found. The SMA team ported, textured and fixed errors in the model as it was not completely finished, I personally assisted with the sounds, ballistics, and other small configurations. I am also the voice of the front guard in the SMA exhibition as well as the voice actor for all of the weapon descriptions.  

 

In fact the IWI Tavor project was never even on SMA's project list much less the 2.0 release, I talked with BlazenChambers about the Tavor when I was looking into purchasing one after reading an article on it. A few weeks later BlazenChmaber told me about a model that was available for a small fee, I gave him all the specifics of the weapon and he agreed that the BI model was not correct and thus became the secret project.

 

Just to note, Bohemia Interactive purposely screwed up the Tavor model and re-named it the TRG-21 instead of its actual designation the TAR-21 most likely due to licensing issues/costs.

Really appreciating this mod, especially the HK models, paired with a flip sight and laser/light combo :3

 

(Edit: I'll read some of the previous posts too, sorry if I keep grinding the same issues)

 

I do have two issues though, which I hope someone can enlighten me with, or better yet help solve. 

 

I want to create some custom units and for that I also create some weapon classes that include optics, pointers, suppressors and bipods. I run into an issue when I create these for at least the HK416. I use the correct class and correct classname, but for it to work in-game, I must assign these to an incorrect slot. And this I figured out by chance, I had mistakenly left "pointerslot" for the optics, but it worked. Can a mod interfere with this, or could I have made an error in my config? The HLC G3s in this config seem to work as expected.

While this works, I intend to add a pointer and a suppressor too, but switching around the two remaining slots doesn't yield any result. I just vaguely know what I'm doing, so I might have made an obvious error. 

 

The second issue I seem to have is that I drop frames when emptying a magazine full auto, generally dropping around 15-20 fps (like from 40->25, vanilla weapons 40->35) . I was puzzled at first as to why. After some trial and error, and being so rude as to poke around in the files, it seems to be related to the firing sounds for some odd reason. However, the processor is old and the hard drive seems to struggle, so either might affect this perhaps? I am just curious if anyone has had the same experience.

Hi,I flipping love this pack! What is the optional "Vanilla Ammo" pbo for?Does it allow the weapons to use vanilla ammo?Also when using the SCAR_H which ammo type has the most impact?Mk318 I think?Thanks again for the great mod :)

Oh-one other thing.The showcase mission is not showing up.I had the old version,but I deleted the mod and files,then got the new version.I put the files into my missions folder,but no showcase..

Wanted to try this out as I have had my eye on it for a while now but it seems to crash Arma 3 as soon as you hit the showcases button. All required addons are good and the error message is specific to the mod showcase. Here's the error that pops up after the crash: File SMA_SHOWCASE\SHOWCASE.Altis\mission.sqm, line 0: '.raP': 'insert weird character here' encountered instead of '='

 

Unfortunately I couldn't copy/paste the error as the window is unaccessible except for hitting the ok button. Hope this helps a little with the issue.

Those type of errors are copied to the clipboard, just CTRL+V in this thread when the errors pops up.

Great mod, love the pew pew quality on everything except the HK416/417 which seems to be very low for some reason (why?).

The optics are fantastic too! Please keep up the fine work.

@WarGravy and auscleaver: Looks like the showcase pbo didn't build correctly :(. You can download the copy from 2.0 version here: Link removed. See BlazenChambers post below.

It will work but it won't be signed (so if you play on any servers that use keys with SMA, make a backup). I don't think anything changed in the showcase for 2.1.. it was just rebuilt for the new key.

Great mod have the ACR and HK416 that is my favorite guns.
Hope you can increase the adjustable stock version of the Magpul Massade.
And fix the fire select of the HK416's left side to make same as the real one.

RE: Low quality (?) textures on the HK 416/417.

I've had a look through previous pages of this topic and seen mention of insufficient memory being the issue. I run the game on max graphics setting fine but it makes no difference to these weapons. Is there some command line extension I need to add to my arma.exe to tell it to use more memory or is this an ongoing issue?

Hey all

 

Just a Hotfix for V2.1 regarding the Showcase mission.

Also we have noticed a slight glitch with the offset of the eye and the iron sight on 1 of the HK416 models . we will fix it in next release , hopefully not a big deal as most people will be using optics on their weapons.

Other than that should be all good.
