It would be cool if while wearing the EOD suit and in first person you had a overlay that made it look like you're view things from inside the suits helmet.

Yep, overlay is done and dusted. Will post pics once im home sunday.

now this is a mod i have been waiting for

when u release is it possible to have it all separate pbos

so you could have just suit or ect

Keep up good work buddy

We're working on setting up a file structure with one core pbo holding mutual files and separate pbos for the suit, thor, rhino, etc.

This looks really good, I've always wanted a talon drone in A3! Also regarding the talon drone how will the controls work with that? Will we have the option to use it through a UAV terminal with separate gunner and driver, the gunner with the remote arm to disarm bombs etc and the driver to control the talons movements similar to the UGV Stomper setup. Or will it work with the player controlling the arm and driving the talon at the same time just like in real life? Another thing that would be good would be a vehicle like an MRAP that would have a commander seat with control station inside and could connect to the UAV terminal overlay. Also one last thing would you consider adding the SWORD variant of the talon?

I am always disappointed when this isn't an EWOK mod when I take a second look at the thread title.

But I am also stoked about EOD stuff!

One thing I'd love to see would be a mine detector that doesn't just mark stuff. Basically just a metal detector that a user actually holds out, and indicates possible mines with audio cues. I don't really like the super human sense awarded by the current mine detector. I've been wanting to have more minefields and the like in my missions to keep people on their toes but it's hard to keep people on their toes when it means either searching for pretty hard to see little devices under the grass or just seeing a big red icon ontop of every single one of them. It's either way too frustrating and difficult (which is pretty fun in the right context, but generally way too intense) or way too easy and just kind of makes it into an obstacle to go around rather than much of a mechanic.

Hello everyone!

About the Talon controls they are the same as UGV (Still need a lot of config and physx improvment as it's my first vehicle), but i want to make it work with the player controlling the arm and driving.

For the Sword variants i don't know, why not. But in another mod :)

Apobs is a cool idea but i really don't know how to configure it.

About mine detector i have write some little scripts that allow you to turn detector "on" and "off" and play a sound when you are about 5m of the explosive,but no variation when get closer or get away and a lot of other issues ( i'm not very good and i don't really like scripting so i've never finished it).

I'm still having trouble with the eod uniform:

clan armapoint in ArmA2 had used the apobs and so I gave the idea, why not find in arma3

Still having trouble to animate legs and arm properly because when i set my model bones as they are on the bis character sample it's give me that:

I was bored of bones setting today, so i've start working on the APOBS wich i think will be easier to add than i was thinking, so here is a little update:

At this point it's firing 1rnd_APOBS_Charge wich is a mortar shell that dont have explosions or hitzone, so what i have to do is:

Replace shell model by APOBS Propulsion system

Script a controled explosion

Tweaks on the gunner optic point

Model.cfg tweaks

Upgrade textures and models.

This should damn near should be called Route Clearance mod.

If you add the following, or they HAPPEN to be donated (hint)...

- Husky

- Buffalo

- RG31 with working mine rollers

- MCLIC

- Gyrocams

- Boomerangs

- Crows system linked to boomerang (probably not feasible).

That would be greeaaaat. Some of those MAY or MAY NOT be underway already ;).

Wow. Last time I checked this thread, it was just the Rhino.

Amazing work my friend! Fantastic for route-clearence and more

sim-style EOD missions. Love it!
