LykosMactire 298 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad250/AngelWingGamingJacob/A3ProjectZagoriaLogo_zps66c63ec6.png~original (2897 kB) PROJECT ZAGORIA Hello, i have started to work on a new project, dubbed Project Zagoria, it uses the A2 Samples Chernarus but will differ in the map. here is the layout of the plan -Replace all structures (castles and all) with A3 buildings -Replace all trees with arma 3 equals and grass too. -make a decent job making a familiar experience of seeing chernarus not as we remember. but reborn Things to expect -Larger cities (anyone in cherno :3) -NW Airfield more Military, Balota a major civilian Airport, NE a small military/police airfield -Devils castle and other castles remade to be fancier. -(New Plan) Bridge to Skalisty island -(New Plan)Small fishing town on Skalisty -(New Plan)"Enhance" some of the construction sites and dockyards Problems -TB wont load map on buldozer for some reason (no error given) -Still learning how to make stuff on TB PROGRESS JUNE 8 2014 -Added Temporary Sat. Are you gonna replace also, the houses, cuz although Chernrus has a really beautiful wooden houses, most of them lack interior, adding some A3 houses would be really cool. LykosMactire 298 Posted April 8, 2014 i was at school when i posted this, i will update the post later but: @Ck, theoretically yes and no,because this will use all A3 Assets, only using the original texture of the ground from A2, so it wont add a load of new objects @Misty, it will be all A3 assets, i will update plan log soon so you can see exactly what i plan @Tpw, i agree, thats one of my inspirations @evan, they actually fit in very nice, there are actually quite a few houses in chernarus with red roofs Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
serjames 357 Posted April 8, 2014 Yep support this 100%... Chernerus is great, but it's a little like running around wooden boxes... with no way of getting inside.. I can imagine it now with Forests that were tweaked to allow slightly better visibility (i.e. you can see the Ai when they see you!) and enterable buildings this could be an amazing map. And i will do the best i can (for a first time map modder) to make Chernarus feel like it did, but a whole new map. miketim 20 Posted June 8, 2014 I don't really do any arma mapping, but I know alot of arma mappers either dl or make themselves command line scripts/tools to place objects, the same should go for removing/replacing objects, you can probably do it in some batch file script or somthing, if someone knows more about how to do this that is probably helpful. A full standalone would be the perfect solution. If I were you I would just copy the "base" idea of the map but increase for example the size of some of the mountain villages that use to be really small ( maybe an additional street with few houses ).
