hovmand 0 Posted August 15, 2002 I dont know if this has been up before, but what is the worst movie you have ever seen? Mine would have to be a movie i once rented in blockbuster, i cant even remember the name, the back of the box said "Gore, guns and naked women" Me and my friend thought that if all that was in it just had to be good. Well it wasnt, no naked chicks and lousy humor (well it was a german movie with american actors, so that kinda says it all ) and with the worst plot in history, movies like this are often so bad they are funny, this one was just pathetic. Well what is yours?

Badgerboy 0 Posted August 15, 2002 'We were Soldiers' Utterly appalling. If I start a rant about quite how sickened I felt, it would go on for pages.... so I won't!
Jester983 0 Posted August 15, 2002 I would say "Falcon Down" *shudders*. I rented it at blockbuster cause i was tired of all the chuck norris Delta Force movies and just plain delta force movies altogether. So i got falcon down. Started watching 10 mins of it and found it the dumbest thing ever. It was about some Weapon that the US had and when planes would fly over it fried all their electronics. So basically it was a EMP. Then the main character lost his best friend to it. blah blah blah blah blah. Then at the end he destroys it someway.... Never watched the whole thing. The point is DONT RENT FALCON DOWN. youll have to kick ur own butt for weeks if you do.
Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted August 15, 2002 Hmm, i thought "We were soldiers" were nice. Anyway, the worst movie i ever saw was probably.... "The Wave".
Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted August 15, 2002 Basically every film right now is terrible. Being back to germany is a shock, all films are translated and no way to get the original version not even in a video store (except of course if you get DVD)! The worst film ever was Heman! Badgerboy 0 Posted August 15, 2002 'We were Soldiers' was so bloody predictable I was bored stupid by the end. Example: (In film) Some guy says 'I'm gonna have a son soon!' Or substitute with 'I've just won the lottery/I just got married/I've just bought a boat called the SS Liveforever!' Obviously he's going to die in a horrible, terrible way in the very near future.... then suddenly he's on fire! The parts portrayed through the photographers eyes, became so tired and warped, I don't know why they bothered. The parts with the wives are so poorly edited in I felt like ripping Mel's face off the screen. They chose the worst possible times to fit them in and half of it wasn't relevent. And to cap it off, the entire final battle scene was filmed in slow motion, ......not a bad thing if done well.... which we managed to forsee 5 minutes before it happened, which was pretty tired and uninspired. Sorry to go on, but it was bloody terrible! Dedicating it to the soldiers that died at the was frankly a insult to the people who were killed....... Intellectual, striking war film : Failure Action, exciting storyline : Failure Any evidence of talent : Failure etc etc
hovmand 0 Posted August 15, 2002 Lol, i watched the He-man cartoons as a kid, never knew they made a movie though.

We always think those films were meant to remember bla bla bla....! It actually nothing else than abusing deaths to make money. It is pure Hollywood-business nothing else. As if the produces gives a s.h.i.t about history. Same with private Ryan. This is why I get so angry at the people that think those war-films are an epos noone ever should forget. Bullshit, just dont forget those that have died and spend money to "soldier's graveyards" instead. I am sorry to say this but good war-films never come from hollywood. The Investors dont want to take too much risk and a it can be limited by applying the old "plots" from greek mythology: Father of baby dies bla bla bla! Â I hate it when you see those producers later on claiming how emotionally involved they were when they were doing the battle-scenes! MarcusJClifford 1 Posted August 15, 2002 He-Man Masters of the Universe was not a bad film, ok it wasnt brilliant, but it basically was all the up-and-coming new actors / actresses. IMDB Entry about film
-TU--33ker 0 Posted August 15, 2002 hmmm does anybody know "Die Supernasen"? this film is absolutely crap! Â like almost ever german film witch was made in the 80s (beside "Das Boot"). Badgerboy 0 Posted August 15, 2002 I would not consider Das Boot 'predictable'. It had a great storyline, good character development, tension, and a good storyline. FMJ combined humour and the horrors of war, and did a good job. That also had great characters, good story and plot, and was memorable. Can you quote any lines from 'We were Soldiers'? Can you remember any moments that made you smile, or strike you as poignant even today? Probably not, you'd just get confused with all the other tired cliched films out there. And I didn't particulary like Saving Private Ryan. It oozed of typical 'Hollywood shmaltz'. However, at least it was better than Pearl Harbour. That was a travesty. Edit - More typo's.. oh christ I give up. I just got back from the pub.

I found We were soldiers nice. you See, not all War-films need a good storyline, some movies are better by themself, focusing of the horrors of war. I couldnt care less of a guy named Ryan who lost 2 brothers on a ship a few thousind kilometers away. Dont worry about typos, i make twice the amount than every1 else, including you, but u never see me editing my posts do ya ?

Antichrist 0 Posted August 16, 2002 Well its kinda really hard to say, cause any B or C-grade movie is a disgrace, but if we're talking about recent movies that were shown in cinemas I would say Windtalkers It was the first movie EVER that I felt like walking out of after 5 minutes! Its worst John Woo movie up to date, after that movie I consider John Woo to be shitty director, and after Windtalkers Face/Off looks and feels like crap!
