Uh, I can't open any files listed under /home/igor/

What's the correct command? "cat" <filename> says the file doesn't exist.

Login, then type > mail inbox view 1

List of console methods can be viewed through /help command.

To access directories type Ls <directory name> without the <>. To access files type Cat <filename> -- can't do the latter tho, says file doesn't exist.

Do the Users.txt file, and go to the link. That's how to create an account, I just haven't figured out how... Anyone?

Yeah, it contains lots of code, same as this,

cat NET-SNMP-AGENT-MIB.txt

cat SNMP-MPD-MIB.txt

cat RFC1213-MIB.txt

Peeps, when doing the Cat method for opening files - make sure you respect the upper/lowercase naming of the file.

Access the following with Cat Users.txt

cat Users.txt

useradd(8) - Linux man page Name useradd - create a new user or update default new user information Synopsis useradd useradd [options] Description When invoked without the -D optio

n, the useradd command creates a new user account using the values specified on the command line plus the default values from the system. Depending on command line options, the useradd

command will update system files and may also create the new user's home directory and copy initial files. The add users command resides in '/sbin/' http://linux.die.net/man/8/use

radd

Reading it now.

I figured that, it relates to the inbox message of creating a new account. Just don't know how.p

Edit: how do you open another directory to view files?

Opening directories, how does it work?

Ls command, lowercase L.

BTW,

cat ln.txt

a symbolic link (also symlink or soft link) is a special type of file that contains a reference to another file or directory in the form of an absolute or relative path and that affect

s pathname resolution. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbolic_link "man ln" Using 'ln' you can link up files found by locate

> ls coreutils-5.97

Directory index of: /home/igor/coreutils-5.97

There's no /sbin under root/home/igor.

BTW "cat" can't open .jpgs, just txt. o.O

Any Unix pros? We need to create new user logins apparently.
