NoRailgunner 0 Posted February 4, 2013 Ok, thought that I've seen other pictures/colors of Blufor/OPFOR infrared and CITV's. Guess BIS devs/bugfixing crew never battled against many vehicles with AI as driver and gunner - "best workaround" still is to switch to the driver seat and keep yourself and the tank alive. Hopefully the targeting and damage system will get someday an overhaul and use of "workarounds" will be less needed. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I've dropped around 15-20 fps after updating, I have run into a few other people on various servers that are experiencing the same. I've been away and only just come back so I skipped 101334 and went straight to 101480, so no idea if the previous patch did this as well. I have certainly noticed that - the game was much smoother with previous patches 1004/5/6xx series. Was testing a mission yesterday and the tower on the small mosque in the east of Zargabad took 4 seconds to appear at about 150m. The whole town was ok. That has never happened before. One of them is the "Disable locking of all non guided weapons with AutoGuideAT disabled" https://dev-heaven.net/issues/29024 . Which, as an unintended side affect, also breaks the Fire Control System (FCS) that BIS added in Operation Arrowhead. This means you can no longer "Lock" a target and get the FCS to auto compute the range/lead if you play with "Auto guide AT"=Disabled (as many servers do). If we are going to go ahead with this can we please have some compromise to allow us to still effectively use the gun systems on many vehicles? We at least need more fine manual zeroing controls for range and the ability to range out to the Guns' real world distance. Vehicles like the MGS Stryker will be useless with out some thing like this, the M2a3 Bradley will also suffer. Some one has already made a ticket: https://dev-heaven.net/issues/70594 Locking on to Laser Designators with this change was broken too, but it has been fixed, which is great. To me and many others the FCS is as important as being able to lock onto a laser. Please don't let this change go into the patch without giving us some kind of compromise... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, is it possible to have big changes like this (and others, like FLIR color changes etc) listed in the Change Log? I understand when things are not added to the change log that are fixes for bugs caused by the beta etc, but these changes are big and need to be tested by many people. And same result for some magazines (because no correct models for them). Also: GP-25 HE (and M203 ÐЕ) has corrupted shadow lods.
