U.S. Ambassador to Lybia Killed

Recommended Posts

The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three other embassy staff were killed in a rocket attack on their car, a Libyan official said, as they were rushed from a consular building stormed by militants denouncing a U.S.-made film insulting the Prophet Mohammad.

In addition to being a major figure in both Goonswarm and EVE Online overall (they're not kidding about the mass renamings of in-game outposts after him, including other corporations) and major figure in Goonswarm, he was also a Something Awful moderator who wasn't just helping out Goonswarm in-game but in real life was helping other goons who were applying for State Department work. Two separate EVE devs were mourning him in one of the official EVE forums threads.

No way. HOLY SHIT. I knew him indirectly and without a 20-page thread in General wouldn't have believed it - https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=153054&find=unread :don3:

Religions really suck the brain out of people :huh2:

but not worse than money greed

religions are necessary if you want to told usual people what is moral and what is not , when i was young i didn't realize it, now i realize,

much worse than any religion there is one thing - greed for money (represented by states invading other states due to interests of big business)

for example , how would you explain (without religion) that something is bad or good ? (for example stealing vs. helping poor and weak) ?

helping poor and weak means "less profit, more taxes" ,

stealing means "more profits"

how do you want to explain it to people without moral religious base ?

for greed people only "profit, money" counts , so how ?

Pro-US protests in Benghazi following the attack: http://imgur.com/a/tlCyI

Not mentioned anywhere on CNN's continuing front page coverage of the incident.

Meanwhile, Americans are always angrily demanding why Muslims don't condemn terrorism.

We are? Are we really about to start this anti-American generalization/assumption crap this forum is already so full of?

Now, I do agree with the second part about why the hell is this not on the news. It's a shame. Those protesters definitely have my respect.

You don't need religion to have morals. That is just a dumb thing to say.

i though so when i was younger, but meeting more and more people in life i found that people must fear of something or hope to something, heaven and hell method works on masses of people who without "heaven and hell" do "what they want" (which influence of course greed, stealing, cheating, killing, using somebody's weakness, etc)

if you would look at humankind history, see that treatment for poor and weak was thanx to Christianity , low bank rates are due to Muslim religion etc.

i live in society which previously was very religious and now it is not, and i can observe it throughout 20 years , many bad things immoral before now are "okay, what's the problem" because people as a mass are not high iq moral skilled, many people are dumb (look at IQ stats on WIKI, 30% have below 90, 50% have between 90-109 , only 20% have above 110, 2% are regular psychopaths, etc. you cannot make society moral without religion having at least 30% dumb )

on which basis do you want to force empathy ? on which ?

and we have effects today in "modern world" , we have greed banksters who make problems to all world and all is okay, noone invades banks, but they invade other countries for oil , while the worst enemy of humankind are some of those very very very rich guys in bank centrals which made crisis and made billions of USD to their accounts, masses of people are going on and on into poverty while small percent of world population (few countries) have economical growth and luxury,

the question is - how usual citizens life changed in Lybia after "revolution " , they had free of charge shools, hospitals, education, maybe they would lost it and get angry (which i know from history of my own country too), hmm ?

religion is also thing that unite people (as idea of patriotism, nation etc) thats why it is fought "in modern world" (divide et impera, so people would not be united and not stand against gov.)

so religion has advantages (of course not for opposite site) cause "bribes" do not work in situation when part of society believes strongly that some things must be and some cannot be , religion is oldest for of socio-technic, without it many nations would not stand as nations,

socialism tried to build up moral society without religion and it failed , because many many people cannot function without heaven and hell vision in their brains, especially when you have people who lost all hope for good life (economical reasons, health reasons, oppression reasons)

I wonder why the actual title of the film in question (quite likely Innocence of Islam) is not mentioned in almost any news even though it's mentioned as a motive in all of them.

Many people suppose that film is not a real reason for this unrest. The diplomatic mission was stormed too quickly and ambassador was found too quickly too. Seems that freedom fighters had exact intel about ambassador's location and prepared for the assault. Even there people don't carry AKs and RPGs on every rally against infidels.

Hi all

The film was originaly called Desert Warriors. The "Maker" of the film appears to want to remain anonymous which is odd as the Actors, who would obviously not remain anonymous have had the words they said overdubbed in post production, rather badly it seems, so that they appear to be saying things that they never did or would say.

They, the actors, deny saying the words that are overdubbed and are very angry that this was done to them thus making them targets. Naturaly they pointed the finger. It seems to be the case, that the film maker is a person with extremist Christian views and links to Pastor Terry Jones of Gainesville, Fla; who also "claims" Israeli connections and who was involved in Cheque Fraud and has multiple aliases along with supporting IDs and lnks to a whole buch of odd charachters. Fishy to say the least. That deliberately posting it in Arabic on youtube is also very odd.

California man confirms role in anti-Islam film

The search for those behind the provocative, anti-Muslim film implicated in violent protests in Egypt and Libya led Wednesday to a California Coptic Christian convicted of financial crimes who acknowledged his role in managing and providing logistics for the production.

By STEPHEN BRAUN and GILLIAN FLACCUS

Associated Press

LOS ANGELES —

The search for those behind the provocative, anti-Muslim film implicated in violent protests in Egypt and Libya led Wednesday to a California Coptic Christian convicted of financial crimes who acknowledged his role in managing and providing logistics for the production.

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, told The Associated Press in an interview outside Los Angeles that he helped with logistics for the filming of "Innocence of Muslims," which mocked Muslims and the prophet Muhammad and may have caused inflamed mobs that attacked U.S. missions in Egypt and Libya. He provided the first details about a shadowy production group behind the film.

Nakoula denied he directed the film and said he knew the self-described filmmaker, Sam Bacile. But the cell phone number that AP contacted Tuesday to reach the filmmaker who identified himself as Sam Bacile traced to the same address near Los Angeles where AP found Nakoula. Federal court papers said Nakoula's aliases included Nicola Bacily, Erwin Salameh and others...

The other obvious target it created; and it was released with Arabic translation on Youtube less than a week ago with American atribution in order to do this, was obviously America.

So we have a film where its maker has put words into peoples mouths, that seem calculated to inflame opinion in the Arab world. followed by an attack on a US Consulate that seems to have been set up before the film went out. As Spooky Lynx points out, with suspiciously accurate intel. I wonder for what purpose? Who benefits from an America riled up at Muslims.

Muslims of course could do with a little bit more awareness of when their buttons are being pressed so they can stop being used as puppets.

Of course those in the USA and those on the forum would be better served to be aware the same thing applies to them too ;)

In other news, the current Israeli Primeminister Benjamin Netanyahu's is in the US attempting to Force the USA to bomb Iran on its behalf.

Netanyahu blasts Obama administration ahead of election

Posted By Uri Friedman Tuesday, September 11, 2012 - 3:22 PM

Last week, I pointed out that Republicans and Democrats were both invoking Benjamin Netanyahu's statements to argue that the Israeli prime minister was on their side, even though Netanyahu himself has not explicitly expressed support for either Barack Obama or Mitt Romney in this year's election. That may still be true, but Netanyahu nevertheless issued a stinging criticism today of the Obama administration's refusal to set so-called "red lines" for Iran's nuclear program -- one that has major implications for the presidential race...

Op-ed: Israeli strike in Iran before elections would divert attention from failed US economy

Shoula Romano Horing Published: 08.29.12, 11:23 / Israel Opinion

Using military force to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons is the only option left for Israel but it is not in its best interest to strike before the US elections. Now it is more important for Israel that Barack Obama be defeated.

An Israeli attack in the next two months would greatly aid the president’s reelection prospects by providing him with the greatest possible diversion from the failed US economy. Politically he would have no choice but to support Israel and the American people will galvanize around their president as is always the case during a foreign crisis. Israel cannot afford another four years of Obama’s policies...

Obama Avoids Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Meeting

Reuters | Posted: 09/11/2012 2:36 pm Updated: 09/12/2012 4:46 pm

By Matt Spetalnick and Allyn Fisher-Ilan

WASHINGTON/JERUSALEM, Sept 11 (Reuters) - In a highly unusual rebuff to a close ally, the White House said on Tuesday that President Barack Obama would not meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a U.S. visit later this month, as tensions escalated over how to deal with Iran's nuclear program.

The apparent snub, coupled with Netanyahu's sharpened demands for a tougher U.S. line against Iran, threatened to plunge U.S.-Israeli relations into crisis and add pressure on Obama in the final stretch of a tight presidential election campaign...

Many in Israel feel Netanyahu is interfering too obviously in US elections to the detriment of Israel.

Analysis: Netanyahu risks overplaying hand in Iran dispute

The public row between Israel and the United States this week will make it hard for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to launch a unilateral strike against Iran and risks undermining his domestic standing.

Thursday, September 13, 2012

By: Crispian Balmer | Reuters

Despite years of warning about the dangers of Iran gaining nuclear weapons, the Israeli leader has failed to convince any major world power of the need for military action and has yet to persuade his domestic audience that Israel should go it alone.

By raising the stakes with Barack Obama in the middle of the president's re-election campaign, Netanyahu has drawn criticism from his own defense minister, Ehud Barak, and given Tehran the pleasure of watching its enemies argue over the case for war...

I wonder what the effect of US citizens being attacked by Muslims will have on Obama's atitude to Benjamin Netanyahu's request that America go to war with Iran for Israel?

I wonder how many muslims will be fooled by this?

I wonder how many Americans will be fooled by this?

I wonder how many on this forum will be fooled by this?

I wonder who Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, with all his aliases and IDs has links to?

I wonder where he got all those IDs to support the aliases? Hint ;) You Might want to look up Steven Klein and his links to a certain political figure.

I find it strange that Nakoula Basseley Nakoula has links to both the Head of the Coptic church in the UK and the Cleric jailed for the first Twin Towers bombing, dont you?

...Another post on the page of "Bassel" leads to an essay supposedly written by Mohamed Yousry, the former translator for Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind Egpytian cleric serving a life sentence in the U.S. after being convited in 1996 of plotting terrorist attacks. Yousry himself was later convicted in 2006 of providing material support to terrorism and served prison time. He was released in April 2011...

Exploring Romney Connections to the Death of Libyian Ambassador

Here is what we know.

Group of people put up money for film. Allegedly $5 million dollars.

Film gets made, and actors are later shocked to find their voices were dubbed over and that they were portrayed completely different from what was actually filmed. Evidence is visible on trailer if you watch.

Film can find no Arabs who will play. They use hillbillies and put on spray on tans ( rushed job; you can see where they missed)

Film gets edited , and debuts in a theater in Hollywood, and all wait... BOOM.... nothing happens....

Film finally debuts on website of that fake charlatan who was in Florida burning Korans a little while ago. That sets off search engine and the trailer hits Google.

That being a known, monitored anti-Muslim site, the film gets picked up in Egypt and goes viral.

Upset people riot.

Riot occurs in Libya, not where ambassador was, but at a consulate. Ambassador goes to consulate and dies.

US announces that those attacking the embassy were not part of the riot, unless they created the riot as a diversion.

Romney criticizes Obama for causing the problem...

Read It

Also Both Mit Romney and John McCain seem to have had pre prepared speeches for the attack that did not fit the facts, released within minutes of the attacks, but embargoed for two hours, very very odd, plus damn fast writing:

http://www.news9.com/story/19529422/fact-check-romney-misstates-facts-on-attacks

Romney is busy trying to spin his way out of the Gaf he made.

http://guardianlv.com/2012/09/staffer-in-cairo-responsible-for-tweets-causing-romney-to-react-live-video-of-uprising/

Rumour has it that the Obama election campaign has made a million Dollar donation to the Romney campaign becaus they think Romney has single handedly destroyed the GOP.

Strange days indeed.

Meanwhile an FBI investigation into the incedent will hunt down the perpertrators.

Jack Ruby episodes anyone?

[unconfirmed] According to the Lebanese news organization Tayyar.org, citing AFP news sources the Ambasssador was raped before he was murdered.

http://maroonedinmarin.blogspot.com/2012/09/unconfirmed-report-us-ambassador-in.html

I can't even understand the pain of being betrayed in such a sadistic way by the people who, monthes ago were begging for help with which was unconditionally offered. Bear in mind that Qaddafi was also sodomized before being killed, this could be the works of the same group of terrorists.
