=wfl= sgt bilko 10 Posted August 31, 2012 Thanks Dwarden, will test during weekend. I also suggest that any discussion regarding windows dedi server run in wine would be a thread of it's own. Keeping this one clean for reporting in findings on the linux dedi alpha and the other one easy to follow for those who tread carefully down the wine path. The previous alpha thread got rather cluttered at end.

Alexjg 1 Posted August 31, 2012 Didn't work for me either. The server runs for about 5 mins and then terminates, the watchdog restarts it. idl0r 10 Posted August 31, 2012 It looks to me like it is *also* related to Battleye. We tried the previous alpha(s) and none of them worked and they either segfaulted during startup (the server/arma itself) or after the mission has been loaded. This version also had a memory corruption after the mission has been loaded and we then tried it again without Battleye... It works since a few minutes now. The actual problem seems to be arma/server related but at least some crashed are caused by Battleye. Can anybody else confirm that? May help to get that fixed. But once it starts, seems to be better so far. Will whack on this with a few people and report when I have more information. {edit} Btw - since these servers are unit specific, we do not run Battleye - so the corrupted memory on load isn't battleye related. {/edit} - 1stSgt Reite BLT 2/4 [REIN] Echo Company 15thMEU(SOC) Realism Unit Edited September 1, 2012 by Reite

Overlord 0 Posted September 5, 2012 Is ACR Lite required with this version? Don't have it on server yet, but be worth a try?
=wfl= sgt bilko 10 Posted September 6, 2012 I don't have ACR Lite on server either. Even though that dependency sounds strange, maybe a developer could give some feedback. Has anyone with ACR Lite on server tested this alpha?
HitmanFF 6 Posted September 7, 2012 Has anyone with ACR Lite on server tested this alpha?I've installed ACR lite on the server when it came out.I've tried the alphas as they were released, with the same crash prone behaviour observed as others have, so my conclusion would be that there is no dependency on ACR lite content for the linux alpha (other than the ability to run missions with ACR content, of course).
