Boeing/SOAR MH-47E

Nope... ACE won't be included, tryed but it didn't work, the scripts were too too old and outdated.

All you'd have to add to the config is this.

ace_canlift = 1;
ace_geolifterattachment[] = {{0, 0, -5.6}}; (You'll have to tweak this)
ace_maxload = 10000;
ace_ropeattachment[] = {{0, 0.14, -3}, {0, -7.5, -1.1}}; (You'll have to tweak this)
ace_lademeister = 1;

The ones I got with the model were scripts, that's why there outdated. Maybe I'll make a seprate config for ACE Users

No need for a seperate config... Those lines are ignored when not loading ACE...

Same goes for the ACE Fastrope BTW.

ACE_canFastrope = 1;
ACE_RopeAttachment[] = {\{-0.86,3.5,-21.7}, \{0.62,3.5,-21.8}};

But wont do much harm if you wont include it... Is easy to do an custom config which add those things for an ACE Version... ;)

Have fun :)

Best regards

I think for ease of mission makers and players it would be best to put that into your normal config. If at all possible can you record this puppy doing the CRCC Extraction (AKA the "King Fish" manuver).

I'm going to get on YuraPetrov's case (shoot a pm his way) and see if he can make some MH-60K's and MH-60L's to go with your bird. He has the perfect model for the job and he has the skills to make it realistic.

Unfortunatly his uses a ArmA model, Yuri has his own model which to me is better than the bis sample model, not to mention aduke does not have FLIR on his MH60's (Don't get me wrong, I love his pack, just I think there is much more to be done)

Hey konyo!

have you implemented the fastroping on your bird?

Or do you plan to?

It's planned to be, just need to get the current scripts working before its release.

During beta testing it was ment to be deployed from the ramp but it actually appeared through the loadmasters hatch. So untill I get a working script I don't know lol.

Oh cool, If you drop from the loadmasters hatch you can fastrope them into the RHIB Maybe? :) I wonder if thats possible at all, also, how will slining the RHIB on your bird work, and will it work on the SOCR boat I gave you a link to a couple days ago?

Thing is, to be perfect, you'd have to have the choice between deploying ropes on the rear ramp, or in the hatch. Imagine an insertion where only the rear of the bird is above the target building, you don't want people fast roping directly on the ground.

The other thing is, the actual Norrin's script for fast roping only allows you to fastrope when hovering or at really low speed, and if the altitude is above 10 meters. So i guess fastroping directly inside the RHIB would be impossible. Not sure though.

Anyway, need to ask Norrin, but i wouldn't mind removing that minimum altitude check, it's looks kinda stupid when i hover my bird 5 meters over a building, and then i'm forced to go up to deploy the ropes. Except if there is a reason to that, that i missed.

Dose sound right... but like BlackMamb said it's the problem of not having a choice to where to deploy. Also the loadmasters hatch has a hook in the way? Unless i completly remove the hook as its not animate etc, but that will depend if you can fastrope through it.

Like i said above, trouble with fastroping into the RHIB is the hook is in the way. Thats even if i get the slinging to work on the RHIB it was only for trial & show. However if i can get all that working with the fastroping i will remove the hook so you can fast rope through the hatch.

Will speak with Norrin now :D

To be able to FastRope directly into the slingloaded Vehicle, you would need a walkable vehicle... which AFAIK is not the case with the Zodiac, RHIB nor the SOC-R. Most likely you would need a special section in the scripts which lets you lets you fastrope and directly enter the selected seat.

Probably more simple than the normal fastrope, because wherever you "land", you will be ported in the boat anyway... And the distance to fastrope will allways be the same.

I would get rid of the big Hook in the middle anyway, the two fixed ones are more than enough... :) And that hatch could be animated, so it could be closed when not used... so we can safely walk inside ;-)

Best regards

That's true about the walkable boat, if it was to work I could always edit the existing Arma sample models BIS released and add a pathway LOD so it's walkable. & Yes may remove the hook as its useless, the belly hooks are enough anyway. And if fast roping works then I'll defiantly remove it. & yes will animate the hatch so it can be closed too. That's a neat idea I havnt thought of before :D

Well konyo, I think the boat thing might be a v 1.1 deal eh? As much as I would like to see it, small things like that could wait. (I just got carried away with Ideas) get roping from the back done then think about the other stuff. (Sorry I keep bringing new Ideas up/ creating more work for you lol).

No worries mate, trying to get as much as i can in this release.

Does anyone know how the hatch opens on a MH-47E? Dose it slide across or open in half inside the Mh-47?

Ok thanks, maybe add that in a future update lol. Was talking about the loadmaster hatch, weather its folds up etc?

& ahhh omg, i love that Medal of Honor trailer.. Gives me goosebumps everytime, it hits home real hard....

Like this for example... Dose the hatch fold up into the MH47 or below?

I would guess that the hatch is only completly removable... probably taken out and stowed with some straps.

Maybe would be worth a thought: Adding the additional Ramps on the ramps, so a wheeled vehicle can drive up the ramp... as an additional useraction, when the ramp is down. This way you have the detail and the feature.

Gn8 :)
