Incidentally does anyone know if TPW's Suppression mod is compatible with 2.62?

Works phenomenally well, we had intended to hardcode it into I44 but as its still very early days we've only implemented it on the script level (LOS as well) in the new / updated missions included with 2.62. Highly recommend using them with I44 it really fits with the gameplay. Hopefully come time for our next release we'll have a more final version to include to save the hassle of scripts, as well as making more accurate use of weapons (currently we haven't implemented any non-suppressing weapons etc).

Hoping to see some Battlegrounds PVP going on this weekend, I'm going to be testing a new version of Capture and Hold Battleground: Omaha this weekend which should hopefully address some balance issues on that mission, feel free to come help out on the Kelly's Heroes server!

Do you plan on correcting the K98k sniper optics? ie: the reticules. If you've played Red Orchestra, Red Orchestra 2 or even Iron Front: Liberation 1944. You'll see the correct reticules.

Sorry to say this but all I see is alot of Domination or Warfare on Cheranus or Takistan.

In my opinion that is just sad. Why not move Domination & Warfare to INV44 maps if you really want to play it?

No pvp server? The AI is so stupied its get so boring in seconds. A human player as enemy THAT is a challange!

Has a classlist for 2.62 been completed yet? I am looking for the classname for the Flak 38 but the one from 2.6 doesn't seem to work.

Thanks to those that popped on to play Omaha Battlegrounds, I think we now have it a bit more balanced so hope to have a new verison of that mission out this weekend, I highly encourage clans running servers to give the PvP a try its a great balance of instant action as well as teamwork, you can also play with AI who while not great will help fill out the server until players join in.

Guy is currently working on a new K98k model to replace the now very old one we are using, so part of that will be overhauling the optics I'm sure. Just a matter of time and having reference material for the various scopes. We'd hoped to have it for 2.62 but it wasn't ready so should be included in our next release.

I too would really like to see more active servers running the maps and missions from the mod as while Domination is reasonably fun experience for public servers to populate a server, but once populated try switching to some of the content we've actually produced for the mod, its very disheartening to have made over 40 missions for the mod on several custom maps only to see Chernarus Domination being the most active game type. Most of the COOPS and TVTs are designed for drop in and out play with or without AI support to fill out the numbers so its a real shame to see these missions unplayed.

There were no changes to the Flak's classname that I'm aware of and haven't had issues with anything here that I would expect if we had changed something I've forgotten about. I think it should be:

I44_GunAA_G_FlaK38_WL

Just tryed this new version, and I have to say that many of the new sounds are absolutly fantastic.

Not to mention the Panther with brances and stuff to help with camo.

Very nice update, I am defently going at it to night :D

And realy hope that the servers online would use some of the INV44 missions, they are just great.

Cause the actual Invasion 44 maps are too small to port domination on them otherwise that will be already done !

Coop missions are usually played in teams and require more time and attention. If you have 30 minutes to waste, you can easily play on domination and test all that exists in the mod. Where people can take the plane or the tank they wanna test?... in dominations. In coop missions you can find only some few models.

On our server we play all kinds of I44 missions, those made by Invasion44 team, our I44 coop missions and dominations.

I believe the most important is to keep this mod alive and to play with, isn't it? :)

Is it wrong that after playing this, I feel hopelessly ripped off by Iron Front? You guys are amazing! :p

This is, in my opinion, at least twice as good and to top it off, free.

I totally agree Titi, but once the servers are active with 20-30 players on domination, there should be some semblance of teamplay going which would happily lead into some of our stock missions, then as the player numbers grow you can easily move onto the large team versus team missions. Its just when you've poured this many hours/days/weeks/months/years into the modification, to see it played on Chernarus it doesn't really get the full scale of the mod across to new players, who are seeing a couple of new units on the same old map on the same mission they played with ArmA2. It would just be nice to see once servers are populated, to branch out beyond tried and tested and make use of some of the real content we put a lot of effort into :)

I think If you have "30 min" you can enjoy the pvp mission they made because they are really intense. A few days ago I played on a 30 / 40 players server a battleground (pvp) mission an that was one of the best experience I had in Arma.

Play versus a real player seems to be more interesting then play versus an AI. The AI don't react if it's under fire, don't switch to granade launcher or bayonet, they are machines and they think like machine...so Is such a waste play a mod like this against the AI if you have 40 players active...

AI is good for have large scale battles when you are only 10 , 15 players active...but when you are 40 it's a waste...

I got very angry and sad when after the mission they started a Domination

Hopefully you will understand my point.

The "battlefield" C&H missions is very nice in pvp.

Just some direct action, wich is a good alternativ if one is not up for sneaking every time :)

Thanks but wouldn't it be better to avoid hard-coding and just leave it up to individual servers/players? The reason is that TPW and his team continue to work hard on improving the scripts (e.g. yesterday's update of the LoS script). By hard-coding you risk locking in older versions. What do you think?

Also what will happen if I run i44 2.62 with TPW's scripts in a seperate mod folder? Won't they conflict?

I understand your point, i'am agree with. I play a lot in PvP and even built a pvp mode (including I44). I'am not playing all the time on dominations and we should satisfy everyone...:bounce3:

I've just re-checked this now and have no problem, the Brits use the BAF voices pack (I don't own BAF and it uses BAF_Lite voices just fine) so I'm guessing its a problem with your ArmA2: Combined Operations installation.

I goofed. I did a re-install of the mod and the voices do work. However, I do get an error when I walk up to a British unit and they salute me. With script errors on, it says that it can't find the language file...

We're considering developing our own tweaks (which TPW and co may or may not be interested in) which would become pretty core to the I44 mod version if we ever do proceed with it, and so implemented through modules (or more likely modules to deactive content) which could be easily enabled or disabled per mission. Until then we'll most likely stick with the script versions on new/updated missions then players/server admins can easily add or remove them as they like, or use addon versions etc. Keeping content like this up-to-date is always an issue when implementing it directly into the mod itself when its not "final" so its not something we'll rush into don't worry.

Maybe the iron sights of G43 and FG42 need improving for better looking...

The G43 iron sight is a little tight on the V against the far sight I expect that will change when someone has some time and a decent sight reference (links/pics welcome) to do so. The FG42 model is being replaced completely with a new model by Macolik that Yac has been working on texturing. Hope to have some screens of that out in a few days.

With script errors on, it says that it can't find the language file...

The only thing I think this could be is the core conversation system, we deactivate it on our missions generally as its not something we make use of, so its possible that wasn't enabled on the Brits, I seem to recall we did look into it when we were sorting the German radio set but I don't recall ever figuring out how to enable it. For missions you can try adding the following to see if it fixes the issue:

player setVariable ["BIS_noCoreConversations", true];

I remember after having played with many players on I44 domination, having switched on a mission and most of the players left the server...

(just for info, i spent less than 3 plenty months of work in I44 dominations...:p)

WWII freak here (books, museums, movies, www, TV-docs, TV-miniseries...), THANKS to all involved for one of the best "fixes" for my addiction. I44 was the reason I bought Arma after OFP.

yep I44 is bad to the bone!!! Maybe Bis will get on board with these guys. Havnt bought there WWII version yet. Was going to by it but got laid off. lol figures!!! Anyways not sure how good it is, but would be awesome if they made a western front for it, but would most likely be much better if they get with these talented guys who made I44! hint hint ;)

I have a suggestion to the guys that run the 82nd Airborne server to not run Domination on CHERANUS island.

Let me explain. I does not make any sens that you run that OLD boring map with russian present time with INV44.

That old horrible boring island has nothing to do with the INV44 mod and if a player for the first time play the mod that is not how the first impression should be!!

The INV44 mod team has spent alot of free time to release the new update with NEW ISLANDS that has been fixed and optimized for better game play.

My personal opinion is that it is almost a little sassy.

I could just think of our mod hell in the pacific be release and some one set up a sever with hell in the pacific mod on Cheranus. That would make me really upset. But still you can do what you like, play domination on cheranus if you all like it, I cant stop you. I just wanted to say my personal opinion in runing INV44 on cherauns island.
