spooky lynx 73 Posted September 3, 2012 Tried 1.07 version. Is there any difference in models, config or textures between Vilas' eastern weapons pack that is included in the mod and standalone pack?
bars91 956 Posted September 3, 2012 Tons, GossamerSolid has done a full repaint and some config(?)/model(?) changes. At least I don't seem to remember any recoiling tank guns in Vilas pack(tho next update should include that). Also custom vehicles derived from them and original BIS stuff. I wrote this off my head w.o. rechecking info so I might have got something wrong.

Haha Bars, I think he's purely asking about the vilas weapons pack that was included :) There is a difference, the config. Right now, it'll cause issues with the original vilas weapons pack. I'm working on a solution right now.

AsierB 1 Posted September 4, 2012 Gossamer, I suppose that you are reducing the size of the FNC because the buttstock overlaps the shoulder of the units. Real life weapon lengths: FNC rifle: 997 mm M16 rifle: 1000 mm M4 carbine: 756 / 840 mm (stock retracted / extended) FNC carbine: 667 mm
AsierB 1 Posted September 4, 2012 Chernarussian Special Operations Company (work in progress) Under the direct command of the Joint General Staff of the Chernarussian Defence Forces, this is an elite small unit specially trained for reconnaisance, infiltration, counter-insurgency and sabotage. It is still on an embrionary status, but several of its members have succesfully qualified on the US Army Ranger School and the Army Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course. gossamersolid 155 Posted September 5, 2012 Very cool...can we expect ones with full assault gear (helmet, goggles etc etc) Like as in the assault rifleman under Force Recon?

AsierB 1 Posted September 5, 2012 Hi, glad you like them. I intended to retexture the USMC FR assault rifleman with Chernarussian police colours, like a SWAT unit. But I'll also try to do it on CDF Army camo by popular request ;)
AsierB 1 Posted September 5, 2012 (edited) First picture of the Chernarussian National Police's elite team (work in progress): Edited: For comparison purposes a second picture with regular Chernarussian policemen, and several police vehicles: Edited September 6, 2012 by AsierB
AsierB 1 Posted September 6, 2012 Chernarussian 72nd Airborne Brigade: The Brigade is formed by two infantry battalions. The 1st Battalion is fully qualified for combat jumps, while the 2nd Battalion has limited parachutist capabilities and is being reorganized as an air assault unit. Additionally a Field Artillery Battalion provides the necessary fire support to the infantry battalions. The model has been kindly donated by SWAT.TR from the Turkish Mod. Don't miss their work, here.

markb50k 1 Posted September 7, 2012 Chernarussian 72nd Airborne Brigade looks really sweet :) Agreed. I thought those guys looked familiar. The Turkish special forces models are very well done. Love the blood red rebets.. Great addition! At their full glory, would love to see a little RACS vs PCDF action. These two factions have gotten some serious reinforcements. hkm 1 Posted September 7, 2012 I can confirm it works fine on vanilla A2OA and also with ACE Thanks for the confirmations guys. Thanks guys! I respond a bit late because I had a problem with my I.P. and couldn't enter the forums! It was a problem with my system finally! I have reinstalled the game and now works fine! Only bug that I have found is the Rifleman M16A2 of Chernarus that carry the FN-FAL! Nice pics of the Chernarussian Special Forces and police! Keep up the good job! AsierB 1 Posted September 9, 2012 (edited) As requested, CDF Special Operations Company in assault gear. Taking as a base the USMC assault models: - USMC Marpat replaced by CDF camo. - Added on both shoulders CDF yellow+green flag and Special Operations Company armpatch. - Recoloured vest, webbings, knee pad and pistol holster to olive green, instead of the original USMC coyote colour. - Recoloured gloves to olive green. - Helmet colour maintained to the original USMC coyote. I think that it matches with the sand blobs of the CDF camo pattern. - Armed with FNC, FNC+GL, M249 light machinegun, AT4 antitank rocket. - Two different models: a) Model for rifleman, light machinegunner and AT specialist. This model has a camelback and the radio on a back pouch. Also the nice detail of a subdued Chernarussian flag on the vest chest. b) Model for grenadier, with three M203 grenades on the belt on the back, and radio on a front pouch. Compatible with the police elite unit, no need to chose, you can have both units on the field. PICTURES: The two different models, back and front: For comparison purposes, CDF special operations and Chernarussian National Police elite unit: Detail of the armpatches and chest subdued flag: Combat photography, night operation: Man down! distractor2004 14 Posted September 12, 2012 Im a jerk. Thanx Bars91.But here is an error report : " Addon 'PCDF_weapons' requires addon 'PCDF_VilasGuns' " I did not change any of my Vilas addons before i installed v.1.07... I have enjoyed this mod and will continue to do so, but after the 1.07 update I get the same error. I know this has already been brought up and dismissed in previous postings. But there is a conflict with the vilas_aks (PCDF_weapons) PBO and some other mods. Not sure exactly which ones at the moment, but I am using the Six Updater which groups every mod in its own folder. When I run the mod by itself, it runs without errors, but when I run it with other mods it posts the same error that Vilman is experiencing. I'll troubleshoot which mod(s) seem to be conflicting, but just letting you know that mod folders alone aren't solving that conflict. Thanks for the great work and reading my feedback =)

markb50k 1 Posted September 12, 2012 question: why do you have your own config for his weapons in the first place? if you needed to make changes to his weapons to suit your mod, you could just add a config (on-top-of) his config. you could also rename his pbo, and just do a search-replace in your weapons pbo config to change the paths, yes? if you'd like some help on this, i could give it a go as long as you give me some guidelines on how you want me to proceed.
