hoot 0 Posted May 12, 2011 [...]Just wish BIS would hurry up and let us know. Cheers GC Well, I believe that they wait until E³ or gamescom before they gonna start to make any offical anouncement (let's hope I'm wrong) for whatever is upcoming next from their shack. I mean just count the views this thread got, or the look at the amount of posts made herein or all the enthusiam you folks are investing to solve those little parts of BIS' puzzle. It's a classic win for BIS. But on the other hand you are right. If the expectations go through the roof BIS might risk to dissappoint peeps surfing on that level as soon as they announce their next project which then will probably not fullfil those expectations. However, this thread is a good read and I just lean back and keep reading what you guys come up with...then again I need to do some work to keep Germany's GDP level up and my bank account above zero
Innomadic 10 Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) "the advancements in technology". Is it possible that this could (slimly) refer to a new game engine? Why seeker.exe mentioned this? Airborne laser platforms? Would be possible if they used Outerra Edited May 12, 2011 by Innomadic
purepassion 22 Posted May 12, 2011 I believe it was 11:55, but am not quite sure anymore. Someone posted a screenshot of the capture tool at that point a few pages back.
maddogx 13 Posted May 12, 2011 Is it possible that this could (slimly) refer to a new game engine? Nothing is stopping you form interpreting it that way, but this is all guesswork in any case.
Tom1 10 Posted May 12, 2011 10th october 2011 chinese empire effectivly comes to an end... anyone else getting this? china would be a cool faction to play against. USA, Britain, AUS, Russia, China and maybe some al qaeda would make for kickass factions. I mean ADF use VBS as well as US and UK so Aussie force swould be nice. It's a classic win for BIS. Not just that. Look on the main forum page at the number of "active" forum users. Not so long ago, this number was around 4250, but since the beginning of this ARG it has been steadily climbing and is now around 4900 again, close to where it was right after the release of Arma2, if memory serves. Not bad, considering they haven't even officially announced anything yet.

msy 22 Posted May 12, 2011 (edited) Guys, take a little ease. I think it is a Terminator style, the Old Miller goes home by time machine and fights to save the earth. :D He drives the time machine to the past, and fights with the Spartans against the Persians, then fights with the 1900s people against the Central Powers, then forward to WW2 to fight with his grandpa, then Korea, then Vietnam with his father, then Soviet and China for CIA missions, then joined the Operation Flashpoint and works with James Gastovski... Tonci87 163 Posted May 12, 2011 One of my Squad Mates has spotted something: Why is the Vietnam War the only war with an end date?
hoiba 10 Posted May 12, 2011 Well.. I didn't read all the postings since the seeker.exe was published yesterday... so I don't know if this was already a topic in this thread: I'm wondering why every war quoted in seeker.exe was given a start-date .... but ONLY the Vietnam-War got an END-Date.... Well this may only be a strange coincidence.. Edit: Ah.. Tonci was faster xD
maddogx 13 Posted May 12, 2011 Edit: Ah.. Tonci was faster xD Ninjas. They are EVERYWHERE! As for the Vietnam war end date... no idea.
cannonouscrash 12 Posted May 12, 2011 Even though we now have Milers birthdate, which we thought would be pretty significant. it hasnt been used anywhere. We did get a heads up from a BIS informer to input it somewhere, but the /programs/ page on the P8h8.info was removed due to peoples over-active imaginations, I did try accessing via FTP last night but with no joy. Is the whole idea of the seeker.exe just to give us his birthday so we can guesstimate a rough year for the 'whateveritis' is set?
SwiftyBoy 0 Posted May 12, 2011 Incidentally, re. Miller – those mugshots of him aren’t those of a 19 year old. He looks about 30 or so to me.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, btw. but Millers birthday also happens to coincide with the release date of OFP in Europe: June 22nd.

And also the date in 1992 that two skeletons excavated in Yekaterinburg are identified as Czar Nicholas II of Russia and Tsarina Alexandra.
Muahaha 10 Posted May 12, 2011 I am wondering why this time BIS release a photo of the protagonist using real actor rather than ingame character.
PuFu 4600 Posted May 12, 2011 I am wondering why this time BIS release a photo of the protagonist using real actor rather than ingame character. That is a 100% CGI image
maddogx 13 Posted May 12, 2011 That is a 100% CGI image Though a pretty good one. Zero "uncanny valley".

Muahaha 10 Posted May 12, 2011 it's looks all too real to me.... the facial doesn't look all too symmetric as compared to characters in PMC.
