Gremlin 0 Posted April 17, 2011 It seems most of these suggestions should be posted/voted for on the Arm2 Community Issues Tracker to have any real impact on game development and referral to BIS. Maybe I missed something here?
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted April 17, 2011 Already in the tracker but we really need this. Make groups selectable to be made playable in the editor A feature where in the editor you select groups or more AI and make them playable all at once instead of individually editing each unit, and all done by drawing a box around them to highlight them. This has already been suggested, just want to remind to not forget.
coopr 10 Posted April 17, 2011 Why should there be voted on cit to see real impact. Like bis cares how much people voted. The most wanted list hasn't changed for years. And on most of these voted features I haven't seen to much developer activity. Besides probably 5% of the arma2 community is registered on that website

Besides probably 5% of the arma2 community is registered on that website I have watched over the years and BIS has responded to community desires. The game series has evolved so much since its inception. Their (BIS) priorities are not necessarily your personal priorities and vice-versus. CIT was a much-needed tool to consolidate the suggestions and get them to BIS. I doubt even five-percent of the community is registered with CIT because most are too busy gaming rather than looking for faults. For me, I still have fun with the game even if life is imperfect. LeadCommando65 10 Posted April 18, 2011 (edited) This: - Remove object avoidance of driver while player is commander of vehicle and gives direct orders ("Forward","Left","Fast", ...) - AIs should copy the crouch stance of the player, too (like it is already applied for prone stance) - View LODs of some bushes are not accurate (-> causes the AI appear to have Xray vision) http://dev-heaven.net/issues/18845 - Camouflage doesn't work properly in forest (surfaceType = CRForest1) http://dev-heaven.net/issues/12144 - AI vehicles have 360 degree sight after target acquisition http://dev-heaven.net/issues/18846 Edited April 18, 2011 by LeadCommando65

Its a suggestion and something that can come in very handy if other transport helo's are unavailable.... nice contribution you made by the way... now troll off!! fyi in the I44 mod you can sit on a tank for transport, so this isnt so ludicrous as it happens in RL ;) Edited April 20, 2011 by VIPER[CWW]

You were talking about sitting on the flanks of a aphace. I don't know if you ever drove 280 km in the open? But else I should pick you up on my bike and see how long you can sit up straight without blowing of or break your neck when you try to put your head outside of the windshield. And we are just talking about a bike imagine a apace. The only games where its possible is just cause 2 and battlefield heroes so what is wrong pointing you in that direction. But lifting on tanks yes I would agree could be handy. And you saw that a lot in world war 2 havent seen many images from modern warfare where squads are getting transported on top of tanks. Don't think it would be a good idea in real life with the constant threat of ieds
purepassion 22 Posted April 21, 2011 @VIPER[CWW] check out NodUnits apache! Is that what you want? http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee200/NodUnit/Arma2%20and%20Operation%20Arrowhead/backseat.jpg?t=1303203864 XD
tsb247 0 Posted April 21, 2011 I would LOVE to see them finally fix the grenades. Has nobody else noticed that BLUFOR are always using RGO grenades? At first, I thought it was limited to Warfare scenarios, but it turns out that it is the same way in SP as well. U.S. Marines come equipped with Russian grenades! http://dev-heaven.net/issues/19100 (for Single Player campaign) http://dev-heaven.net/issues/17655#change-93253 (First spotted in Warfare)

wolfbite 8 Posted April 21, 2011 The moment that hellfire is fired that guy is going on a journey. I dont really think The sitting on the apache should be added ( I know it was used by britisj commando's in A-Stan but I think that is the only time anyone has ever done it... And that was due to extreme lack of options)... Otherwise you might aswell add people holding on to the skids of the hueys... Best left out so it doesnt get abused for ridiculous attacks... They have training equipment hooked up to vbs2 to train loadmasters virtualy, they have weapons like javelins and real radio equipment don't see that happen in arma2 we should be happy if we were able to do custom key mapping and get 6 dof with your track Ir that is probably as far as it get with arma2
