From small to large scale, both action packed and tactical battles with up to 12on12 players in a dynamic environment that focus on teamplay and mission objectives! The highlights: Asymetric A&D gameplay combined with AAS zone system. Twelve classes to choose from with different equipment and skills like: Medic type classes with the ability to revive fallen or (area) heal wounded team mates. Or officer respawn, HALO jump, artillery strike, repair tires, flip cars, cut fences and more to come. Custom spawn menu to select forward spawn or change class. Custom HUD to guide players. Small to large scale missions; Very diverse landscape and settings (daytime/weather/fog/viewdistance). 50 missions available in total for Takistan, Zargabad and Shapur. Optional AI mode to get into A&S ProMode or as reinforcement with low player numbers. There is a mission cycle active, however you can also easily log in as admin, select your desired mission and settings yourself. Don't forget to activate the AI mode, if you want to play with and vs AI. You may use many addons on our game server too - you are specifically recommended to look into the PvPscene Addon Packs to make the addon use easy and comfortable. Take note that the server already runs 1.58 RC. Either get it yourself too, or use the latest beta patch to be able to play. --- Here is the outlook for the near future from the latest release: The updates in the near future will be a dynamic mission to generate missions automatically.This will be most useful to play on new community made missions easily. In addition the focus will be to provide the AI with the same abilities and elements of AnS, like healing, revive, restricted classes and more. Finally the plan is to update and extend the ability to play with different factions and modsets, like ACE, I44, Unsung and many others. Problem is when i was hosting a mission, the AI on my side would have capture the first objective but didn't, and there was no enemy there and we were stuck at a stalemate, but we held the enemy off, what do I need to do to get past that? .kju 3245 Posted March 1, 2011 @ Günter Severloh Are you sure you were on the attacker side? It is shown at the very start in the loading screen. As defender you only need to hold of the enemy and delay their progress. By default it is random which side attacks with the other defending. However you can set a specific side as attacker in the parameter dialog. In addition if you play defender as human, it is a good idea to add more AI to the attacker side as AI is not as good in attacking most of the time. .kju 3245 Posted March 2, 2011 (edited) Thanks! Binocular is only available to Engineer and Officer to make it a tactical and more important asset. Here is the overview about grenades in the wiki. You have quick access via F1/F2. The reason you do not have them in the regular gear equipment is to make switching the primary weapon mode hassle free. Do you mean AI or human dead bodies? Humans are gone once he respawns - no timelimit involved. AI currently are removed after three seconds - yet this is gonna get changed according to human behavior. This means AI waits for a revive when a friendly is close - otherwise it is stays until the AI respawns. The outro is shown for 20 seconds in public play mode and 30 seconds in match mode. Most people dislike to wait for the next round in public play. This is why its kept rather short. What do you think about these points now? Muecke 114 Posted March 8, 2011 What do you think about these points now? Yes it sounds logically. I only thought about situations when I killed an enemy and want to steel his equipment. This is allways a nice tactical fun to confuse the enemy with the weaponsound of their own side. But its not that important. Keep on focusing on public directions. From now on you will find a second pack in the file base called AnS_ProMode_OA_AI_DATE.7z. This one has the AI mode active by default. You can see the planned additions for the next release in the roadmap. I am looking for people interested to submit new modsets for community mods, like ACE2, FDF and others. It is an easy job - you only need to define the unit class and its equipment: west side or east side. 2011-03-23 changelog Added: Make AI medic type units heal players nearby. Added: Make AI to respawn at a closer zone when too far away. Changed: Give the east AT Specialist the MetisLauncher instead of the M47Launcher. Changed: Make AI vehicles have no commander to have the gunner act quicker. Changed: Make AI only use AA/AT classes when there are air / landvehicles as a threat. Changed: Make AI units flank not too far if already close to the target. Changed: Make the AI position counter reset also on AI weapon use. Changed: Make AI in motorbikes/jeeps eject and move on as infantry when entering a zone. Fixed: Revive is buggy when being in the observer mode. Mac has made a tool to automate the process of mass sqm modification, yet it does not work unfortunately. To cut it short I will write my own tool to do the conversion job. It should take one or two weeks to complete the task.
