mr_centipede 31 Posted January 2, 2011 I just noticed this, does surrendering module bugged? back in ARMA2 v1.1 i just put the module, play around and there will always one or 2 soldiers surrendering, but now there is hardly anyone surrenders anymore... can anyone else confirm? nettrucker 144 Posted January 2, 2011 Another bug that appears with the latest betas (Combined Arms): Bomb explosion set via trigger (createVehicle and setPos getPos Marker method) doesn't take effect no more :( Pls fix this, it's an essential feature in many missions. Hi there I can't confirm this. I ran a couple of cutscenes where I used createVehicle and setPos getPos marker to simulate an artillery strike. Everything works here as intended. It would be great if someone else could confirm this. Please don't post a ticket in the CIT as long as this isn't completely cleared. Otherwise we are risking that resources at BIS are used to solve a non exixting issue. By the way the do target command isn't working anymore since official patch 1.57 has been introduced. At least for me this issue remains. Can someone please confirm this so that I can open a ticket for that. It's important to understand if this issue exists only for me, because I haven't seen anybody else complaining about this. kklownboy 43 Posted January 2, 2011 Yes the textures/grass layer is low LOD up close and high farther away. its backwards and it seems to only effect Nvida 2xx cards (on the server i play on the GF275s where getting it) What was done to fixit.. was to NOT run the addons in the beta folder. The current beta is wacked. And there are still alot of "out of memory errors" occurring.(alot) My ATI card doesnt have the lod issue but i do get the leak....And have been getting the leak off and on since 157 and 157 betas. suma 8 Posted January 3, 2011 The HMV was empty, only the gunner, because in both empty HMVs gunners were put manually with moveinGunner. Il have a video with current patch uploaded tomorrow...Still its allready very clear to see in the video Please, attach repro mission here or create a ticker on the CIT with a repro. There are 2 HMV´s in the US Outpost, short after you started the mission your team will engage the vehicles. You dont have to play long, just 1 minute or so. Im pretty sure this has something to do with the distance to the targets, since it will not happen later on the ambush part, where you are close to some HMV´s. The strange thing was, that even if the gunners where killed and the HMV´s where unassigned, a bit later the target was assigned again sometimes. Thanks for looking into it! http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12805 Another thing i noticed was that helicopters still crash a lot in hill terrain. I used UnitCapture for the Apache in this Mission beacuse it was crashing very often if you give him a Search and Destroy WP. The terrain in this mission got very high hills like you will see. Once even the driver was killed, they were unassigned to me. That said, your mission features many units and it is hard to be sure I have seen exactly what you have seen. Coffeecat 10 Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) Ok..I tested it now with a easy repro and they are not engaging anymore if the gunners are dead... The AI got problems to check targets if there are more Units present. In my mission they allways engaging the empty HMV´s for some time. Not so in the easy example where only few targets are to check. I could make another video which shows the problem in my mission, but it really happens every time if you try it there. So many targets could make the only differents to the AI´s problem i think. Im not using any special behavior or scripts in the mission, its vanilla! Then the secound gunner dies on the secound HMV and suddenly the first HMV is target again. Also check the radiochatter on the left and you can see near the end the AI is still orderd to engage.
