Wow, I'm still updating Update 3 from YAS

By the way, how to I flip the Grenade Launcher Sights?

how can I update by ignoring it :confused: ? six doesnt open in browser at all ... i'm not that IT crack, i need this user-interface :o ok, i could use yoma meanwhile

confirmed, exactly the same here (win xp 32)

won't reinstall because humvee reports useless to reinstall ... will wait for an ACE-Dev-statement ... ;)

Clicking OK and continueing should workaround it, does it not?

no it doesnt :( in fact after pressing "ok" in onscreen error message nothing happens, browser (firefox) doesnt open new tab for six updater (this is what should happen, as always ? )

never had problems with six updater since months, neither on xp nor on vista ! maybe I'll start from my vista 32 hdd and will try on vista os (actual im running xp 32)

before me. :)

As I said, just click OK to ignore it for now.

When i click the Message away, the Programm won´t start / shutdown.

six-updater-web-0.24.8 released, please restart the software.

Console version requires you to reset the skip status first, because the console version cannot check for the latest version information like the web-gui can. So if you used the web-gui before, the mods might simply be skipped because it thinks they are up2date.

Now, I'm not sure if it really fits here, but I'd have posted it on some ACE-specific forums if I could... But this ACE thread will have to do.

I was wondering who holds the longest 'confirmed sniper kill' in actual combat/mission circumstances. Not talking firing range or preset mission editing thing with you one place, single still enemy AI another. I'm talking actual operation, preferably MP (COOP, whatever. Although against a human player would be way more impressive). Be cool if we could hold a competition or keep a record of the longest known =P Using ACE, of course.

Who's with me on this idea?

Not sure if this is the right 3d but like in RL how a kill can be confirmed?

i usually don't snipe but my longest kill was a not moving Ai located at 1250 meters from me with no wind and a Tac50 rifle so nothing too difficult in this game

I see you have added a reference for the function isBurning, but cannot find a command to actually ignite a source like a soldier?

You can use BIS_Effects_Burn (A2 particle effects function):

Otherwise there are internal global events in Wounds specific to Men-class units;

Hi,

Having this error on arma startup if ACE mods are on.

bin\config.bin/cfg ammo/ca_ magazine.model

RPG-VR round looks very lowpoly.

Running ace 1.6 + cba hotfix

Have tried to disable other mods , and run ace only , nothing helps , after ace is off , everything works fine , no error and RPGVR HEat round looks high quality.

Any ideas?

Another quick question: How can I make someone un-blackout? As in, when round is over I want all players healed to full and standing up functioning so they can pick weapons for the next round, but if someone is blacked out from backblast or other effects setting damage to 0 is not enough, he will still be stuck laying on the ground.

I seem to have an odd issue I'm unsure if it'll need a ticket or not (dunno if it's my end or not). In game I am having some issue with my inventory. I am unable to put any rifle or equipment on my back. If I equip a rucksack/backpack of any kind, I cannot pack anything into it, and when I select an item, no information is brought up for it such as it's weight and what-not. Is there a goof somewhere in my config I should check? I've replaced the userconfig files 3 times, double checking the clientside configs via notepad and clippi.

Also, Ace face gear and earplugs all work fine, it's just the inventory screen seems to be only half functional. No graphical glitches with it either, only that the functions themselves are not working. I can still pick a primary and secondary weapon, gear, and ammo, i just cannot move any of it to my back, or into a pack of any kind either by dragging or hitting the appropriate buttons in the menu.

Also I've double checked the versions of ACE and CBA which are up-to-date, or at least from what I can tell..

edit: Disregard this, it was an addon conflict :/
