Huh? I think he means he's gonna finish it before the end of the year.

Map looks good, will it be 1 download, or will it require a bunch of other huge downloads to make it work?

Hey mate, looking good.

Just curious, what area of Uruzagan are you focussing on? Around Tarin Kowt? Over to the west around Deh Rawood or the north near Baluchi?

Also, if you can, try not to use objects that require CAA1 download, or other island. If you can stick to OPX, OA and Mikebarts Veg, I'll be one happy man.

Here is an archive of images from the Australian Defence Force, look through the 'Afghanistan' pictures, all of which are set in Uruzagan. http://www.defence.gov.au/media/download/archive.htm (Search trough 2010, of which will be image galleries, read description to see if they are Afghan based pics)

From first post it looks like he's using numerous OPX things, although I must say it'd look superb with OA items/buildings.

Looks good, I'm glad you're making green zones, pure desert maps don't have a hell of a lot of mission possibilities.

lamentably, I believe that it cannot be possible to make a zone green as it must be. when joining many plants in a same sector, the game collapses. this is a real shiittt !!!

Looking good Minimalaco.

Some inspiration: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3Ez_prCmpY (The Battle of Derapet - Fought in the Deh Rawood Region of Oruzagan, from your map pic, your modelling this exact area :) )

Thanks for the video, it will try to do it but similar and detailed the possible thing. :bounce3:

a video of one of the village:

Looking good! with your vegetation try to randomize the size and orientation of the object;) will give it more of a natural look. That can be done in Visitor3 in the Natural objects menu if I can recall correctly

It sure can, and it's important to do so...

Right where ebanks says - in the "Natural Objects" menu - you can set an upper and lower scaling limit for each species of plant or tree individually, and every one you place will be randomised in size between those scaling limits...

Likewise theres another tickbox and set of parameters for setting randomisation of orientation - so by setting both of these parameters for all vegetation you'll get a much more natural look... every plant or tree you place will be randomised in orientation and size within the boundaries you set.

If theres a certain plant you want to be all the same height - a crop plant for example, then just untick the randomise size box for that one - they'll all be 100% standard size - you can still tick the randomise orientation though - so every plant will be rotated differently... even crops have some variation...

Theres one slight drawback though - even if you go in and set these parameters now - they won't affect any vegetation that has already been placed - only stuff you place from now on...
