[PvP] GunGame --- Fast Paced TDM!

It has almost identical mechanics and it's situated in downtown Zargabad.

Then they must have been the first. I wasn't aware that it even existed. I was just playing gungame on DOD:S and I wanted to play it on ArmA 2.

I can safely say the code is mine at least (with a bit from warfare)

Does anybody have suggestions for some weapon sets?

We've added in an Invasion 1944 weapon set in 1.02 already.

Had a bash in 1.02 Chernarus last night. I had lost of fun. Soul_Assassin got camped hideously and get quite fed up. :)

Just one or two little points - At level 1 with the RPG and when you have submachine guns, you don't spawn with the weapon in hand.

Thanks man. I cannot seem to figure out how to force the player to switch to it either.

Instead of selectWeapon primaryWeapon player use selectWeapon "RPG7V"

I'll give that a try.

GunGame v1.02

GunGame v1.02 is finally here! Yay! There have been some changes and new additions. Check the changelog for full details.

I plan to make this the last version that actually changes how GunGame plays. Unless there is a large issue, the next updates will only be new maps, weaponsets, etc.

Was satchel charge too easy or too hard? Did you make it so you have to also not kill yourself with the satchel or did it not matter if you killed yourself in the process of getting the kill?

Anything with "Put" or "Throw" seems to cause issues in the insta weapon change. I could only get throw weapons to work if you are crouching and the put weapons didn't work all together sometimes.

Can't you just put the satchel down with the action menu? Or does that get bugged too?

Ok sorry for not explaining that better. Satchel was too easy, IED didn't seem to work sometimes (couldn't place it) and grenades could only be thrown while in crouch :)

I'll be releasing a 1.02a in the coming days to address a few small issues I found yesterday while playing with a group of people.

As soon as I finish this damn Java Final Project I can hotfix gungame so the spawn system doesn't put you so close to enemies or in buildings :)

So for the PRACS release (and by request of their team), I have made a few things for PRACS. There's a PRACS weapon set which will work as long as everybody has the PRACS mod loaded and then there are three PRACS maps which are located on South Sahrani and Porto. These maps require PRACS and CAA1.

Yay gungame is getting another update soon (in minor valve time)!

I started fiddling with a new networking system in Warfare (provided by Xeno) and it's brilliant, works great. It'll be moved over to gungame as well. What you can expect:

- Quicker Level Up/Level Down detection/execution

- Quicker playing of sounds (quake sounds, etc)

- Faster detection of endgame

- and more.

Also the CWR2 missions + weapons selection will be added in to the GunGame package (it was previously released only with CWR2's demo release missions). You can also expect to see some Vilas and RH weapons selections :)
