rowdied 44 Posted February 14, 2011 Hey thanks for the quick reply. It's strange because it only happens with the reinforcement choppers dropping troops. It doesn't affect the planes or hinds or kamovs and only if the server is empty of human players do the choppers seem to add up if you can say that. Will try the code you gave. I can confirm that it is only the parachute droppin replacement chopper that fills up the empty server when noone is on it. Spawn on any player ingame something like insurgency First idea is to have a feature where a player can spawn on a squad mate, or anyone ingame, provided their is a spot for them. Random generated city objectives only executed when a player joins the server each time 2nd Idea is I'm wondering if it were possible to make the mission have random cities you attack, but only if there is no one on the server. Heres how this would work: I got this idea from the fact that when my buddy and I and another play we have only so much time to play during weekdays, and the other problem is our gameserver we play the mission on cannot be setup where the mission become persistant, so basically we have to start over if everyone leaves the server. So my idea was something like insurgency where when you get on the map ingame, each time you restart the mission the objectives for the cities you would attack move, basically become random, so you dont end up attacking the same city everytime. Basically the Objective moves to a new city or area, and I think this could be done based on the id number of an area, or grid reference. I mean as far as I understand there is an objective, and everything being the enemies are generated around that correct, so would it work if we just moved the objective to a new city each time, and every objective that would be like say the next objective would follow suite. The objective from what I was looking at in the editor is just a marker, so is it possible to just have the marker relocate to a new city close to the players start point, and be random everytime the mission restarts and then the objectives following would follow suite after, and of course you could have it as an option in the parameters to have this feature. Your thoughts Eggbeast, I'm sure you would know what would work and what wouldn't, but I enjoy the mission alot, have been playing evolution since the Arma days and its only got better. But because we are real EVO fans and have hosted the GITS version for almost two years on A2 i was looking for an AO only version we could use on our new AO only server. The i got hold of the GITSEvolutionV12.Takistan.pbo (also tried with V11). But as soon as i start the mission i get put back in the map section sceen telling me nothing about the error. But for some reason I cant find a good Takistan or Fallujah Evo with US troops. Only those strange looking british version. (Dont have BAF) . Is there are good working version with US Troops out? eggbeast 3685 Posted October 7, 2011 i know how he feels a little... one of our guys bought it and had massive problems playing on our server - we all play with the fuzzy units lol he hadto uninstall it and put it on the shelf kept getting cfg errors flashing up all the time (based on weapons i think) which was bad for him as he's our CAS pilot lol. Its not that I wont buy it, I ordered ArmA X Anniversery Edition some days ago, even if I allready had A1 A2 and OA. I just wanned to have it all together^^ + support BIS for ArmA3. Its just that I dont like the BAF troops. The Enfield weapons, uniform camos ect. Just not my thing, I like the US Stuff. But Iam going to play the baf campaign soon, I heard its worth it :bounce3: Im really happy to hear that eggbeast makes some US GITS Evo versions!:yay::bounce3::bounce3::yay: Thank you in advance!
