What is @GEISTA3L ?

It's a submod which proposes a series of textures designed to complement Uniforms, Helmets, Caps, Vests, Bags, Insignia and other little things, and vehicles, for IFA3 LITE and Faces of War based on WW2.
All the factions found with the Iron Front in ARMA III conversion LITE mod (IFA3 LITE) are concerned ; it includes:

Faces of War extension of GEISTA3L:

New with this version, GEISTA3L FOW is an extension of GEISTA3L using some models from Faces of War (https://forums.bistudio.com/forums/topic/198194-faces-of-war-ww2/). It's just a beginning, more stuff should come with time...

This extension require GEISTA3L v3.4.1 and last version of Faces of War.

All textures are High Quality Definition for IFA3 Lite. It adds new textures, but no basic textures of the games.

For screens, i will see to do them, IF i have time.

Problem 2: The US/Indep groups don't seem to be working in the editor, I can select them but nothing to place down. 

 

Love the textures though! The HD, everything about em! Mint mate mint

 

 

 Also what are the chances of eventually uploading each faction as its own mod? I'm keen to use the US Gear for some loadouts, but I don't think everyone wants to download 4gb of textures just for the US gear. Just thinking of how this mod can be more accessible to community and people who might be put off by the massive size.

We will check this as soon as possible, but the correction will be only on next release :\ ; we will try to work quickly, but we are not robots and supermen. If it was this case, a lot of things would ne added !... ;)

 

For your answer about the modularity of GEISTA3L, i can't answer you actually, because it's not easy to do. But if you want keep only some factions and erase other factions, you can use this file, in order to know what you can do : GEISTA3L_v3.2.0.txt.

Precisions : don't erase the files indicated in the "block" Various : most of them are needed dor the mod. ;)

 

Precisions for every one : in order to know what are the flags which are added in GEISTA3L, you can open the file GEISTA3L_v3.2.0_-_Flags.pdf, which is in the root folder of the mod.

I am currently running Geist-A3-Lite on my server but do not have a list of all the uniforms. Does anyone have a list that they could share so it would be easier to add the uniforms to my servers? Any help would be awesome!

I love your work. In particular your textures for IFA3 look awful!

 

But how do you position your extension to FoW, since it has dependencies to IFA3, too?

I like both IFA3 and FoW, and each has its strengths,

But considering the fuss recently going on wrt the latest release of IFA3 I am a bit concerned, whether they might have to withdraw some of their models. So a.t.m. I refrain from creating missions with IFA3 content, which might break with a new release.

 

On the other hand I would definitely enjoy your extensions to the FoW content.

This extension for Faces of War is really an addon of GEISTA3L with some models from FoW. So you need to have both at the same time, witch is actually possible.

 

Concerning the next version of IFA3, we will have to make a lot of change on our side. We are already preparing this update. Like IFA3 team, we will try to ensure maximum retrocompatibility between these versions.
