I'm gonna try my best to explain my issue. When I record my gaming sessions the recording doesn't have my voice when I use the VON. On the bottom left corner when I transmit my name shows up, with the mic and speaker icon next to it. My friends told me they can hear me in game, I'm also able to hear their voices and it gets recorded. I had that issue already using shadowplay and transitioning to OBS I'm having the same issue. I'm able to hear everything but my own voice over VON

Good day, I would like to have the Arma 3 Direct Chat be louder, or at least independent of the Effects Slider without using an external voice system like TeamSpeak. Is there a mod that can accomplish this? Best regards, Fros7bite

Linux Server - VON still not working
xperthobbit posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
It appears there is still no solution to the issue regarding voice over network on Linux-based dedicated servers. Is there any way to make a request to have this fixed? Reference from 2017: -
Just wanted to know if there was any way to make the VON louder through scripting as car engines etc are by default louder. Thanks in advance

Voice chat - i can hear others, but cannot speak myself
WurschtBanane posted a topic in ARMA 3 - TROUBLESHOOTING
Simple issue, which i didnt have before: My microphone works fine, it lets me speak in applications like TeamSpeak3 or Discord. But when i try to use it for VON, other people cannot hear me. I can still hear them, though. I know that i have to switch through channels, that is not the issue here. I had this problem since 1 week at least, but a few days ago i was still able to use the direct communications channel, but now even that one does not work. When i try to test voice in steam, it appearantly does not recognize my microphone input, so that might be part of the issue.- 1 reply

ISSUE: First player who connected can transmit voice and be received, but all other players cannot transmit to anyone. WHAT I'VE TRIED: Server.CFG: disableVON = 0; vonCodec = 0 or 1. vonCodecQuality = 1, 8, 9, 15, 21, and 30 on appropriate codecs. Server.Arma3Profile: singleVoice = 0; volumeCD = 100; volumeFX = 100; volumeSpeech = 100; volumeVoN = 100; maxSamplesPlayed = 96; vonRecThreshold = 1.0; vonID= 1; Me and the other people I've been trying to communicate with in-game using VON have also both verified our game cache after the update. There are no scripts and zero mods being used that could effect the VON channels or anything like that.

I've checked the wiki and did a brief search on Google on how to control a player's microphone or VON volume settings via scripting commands, similar to fadeSound/fadeRadio/fadeSpeech, etc. but haven't found what will actually change the volume a player receives or transmits voice-over-net in multiplayer. I'm assuming the command doesn't exist and would require some kind of intricate scripting or addon to actually work, but I'm hopefully I am wrong. Anyone know methods on how to do this? [EDIT] At the moment, I'm using the enableChannel command locally, but I'd rather have the individual's voice lowered and still able to receive on same channel, if possible. ALSO, is it possible to remoteExec or remoteExecCall a createVehicle command? The question is related.

Would You like to see Mumble's LINK - 'open plugin' implemented into ARMA 2?
Dwarden posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - SUGGESTIONS
Simple question and simple answer. If you ask: Why when game also use VON? Then answer is: Imagine it as 'addition' or 'expansion' to VON and NOT as replacement! Fully optionable. Mumble's Link can be used by any other application including TeamSpeak 3 etc. What exactly would this mean is not implementing whole Mumble but only linking to Mumble via Link plugin : http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Link * this will allow positional placement of voice according to ingame world coordinates etc. Why Mumble ? it's opensource and technology wise outperforms other solutions on market HomePage : http://mumble.sourceforge.net/ Mumble's future plans : http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Upcoming Mumble's Access control list & Group system : http://mumble.sourceforge.net/ACL_and_Groups Mumble's URL support : http://mumble.sourceforge.net/Mumble_URL Mumble's userbase statistic : http://www.sjuengling.de/mus/ * note this is only from users who 'allow' statistic tracking- 132 replies
