The main font family for the text next to map markers is EtelkaNarrowMediumPro. In the most recent stable branch hotfix (build 142223), the fonts[] array for this config entry was updated, subsequently changing the visual behavior of map marker text. This bug is still present in the current development branch build. Here's a before/after picture of what map markers look like: Pre-142223 : Post-142223 : I'm assuming this was an unintentional change. If it wasn't unintentional, disregard. Here's a relevant post:

Just curious if anyone knows how to fix this? or where I should post or email this comment to? When I post on these forums, my font and all the other posts from other people looks very distorted and there are almost no spacing between periods. I thought it was an issue with Firefox, but I'm not having this issue any any other forum. I've just tested three others. Whats odd is, when I'm in edit mode the font looks great, but as soon as I post the message here the text gets ugly. Again, all the other posts on here look bad like mine. If I go to the font menu while in edit mode and change to a different font, the text looks good, but then there is a space between all the senescence. New EDEN update makes font look disgusting...

So the new EDEN update was released and I was happy. After launching Arma, I had realised that the font had changed. I liked it at first but It looks disgusting when it says the ammo and gun name. The Main Menu font is nice but everything else is just horrible. Is there a way to revert font without falling back on version 1.54? Post your opinions and whether or not you guys want the font to be changed. :D -
