I need a list of ArmA 3 servers that are great for a beginner

So, I have owned ArmA 3 for a while, (a bit more or less than a year, I sorta forgot...) but I haven't really played it much. I would like to play on a multiplayer server. The only issue is, I can't find any servers that are suitable for beginners like myself. Can anyone of you guys please direct me to some good beginner servers? -
How to update array value for all clients?

Basicly, i was in process of making mission, where players must download something from few servers. After making a script in SP, i run into a problems in MP, what a surprise yeah. So problem is idk how to update array for all clients, i tried to use (publicVariable "DataStore";) after IF and ELSE code so its cheks it and updates. Its working but only if host does that. Clients run function and dont sent updated array to other. -
Is it possible to add an action to all playable units?

Hello, my name is fortheiy12, and I want to become part of the 'ArmAverse' as you may call it. In the coming days, I will be buying Arma 3, but I haven't really found any good tutorials explaining how to get into Arma 3. I know that most people will tell me to go to the very detailed tutorials, but from basic FPS and Roleplay game experience, I know that single player tutorials can't explain the full scope of multiplayer concepts. I am wondering if anyone has any good recommendations on Multiplayer servers and Video Tutorials. Please feel free to reach out to me! Hi everybody ! I come here to search some help ! Indeed I want to make a script with a big array who coutains all coordonate of home and the name of the owner. I know how do the array BUT I don't know how to make a script which gives the name of the owner of the house where my character is in arma 3. Basically I would like to search in my array let's call the _Home the owner of the house where is my character. If somebody can help me a little it could be nice ! Thanh kyou !!

Where can I learn to use CBA in my scripts?

Now before anyone says it, I realize that this forum is dedicated to Arma 3 and usually does not support any 3rd party addons, mods, plugins, etc., however, I believe that as CBA is such a big part of SQF scripting that I feel as if I need to learn to use it. I have tried to use the official CBA documentation on their GitHub, but if I am being completely honest, it is genuinely quite confusing and difficult for me to wrap my head around. I have some prior programming and scripting experience in languages such as C++, Javascript, Python, and a few others, yet this seems more complicated than anything I'm used to. I guess I should get to the point and ask my question. Is there any YouTube videos or written guides that can explain these CBA features to a beginner in both SQF and CBA? Any and all responses are greatly appreciated, as always! 😊- 2 replies

Hello Scriptgods! I am Currently Working on a MilitaryRP server and i never scripted anything before, i always used premade scripts for missions so i am still learning it.... I have many slots that should only be aviable for special people but i can't figure out how to realise that properly... i found some solutions here but these never say how to make different slots whitelist only. it's about the following slots: Does anybody here maybe have a solution for me or a hint in what direction i need to go? struggeling with that since the beginning of my project to be honest. First weapon mod - need help to start

Dear modders! I'm absolutely new in Arma modding, and I need your help to start, because I don't even know, which program to use for modifying the databases. We are speaking about Arma 3 Single player, I have the Arma 3 Tools installed from Steam, I guess, that is everything I need, since I'm about to modify only the mass of all the weapons, ammo and gear in the game. I have a collector's aproach in every game I play, that is the same thing I want to achieve here, don't want to become immortal, just want all the available stuff (Weapons, ammo, gear etc.) picked up (preferably), and not spawned in my backpack! I think, it is enough to modify only the mass of those items, so I don't have to worry about stamina etc. I have watched some tutorials, but I think they don't point me in the right direction, they try to explain how to do much more sophisticated modding, which I'm not interested in. So again, I need to modify only the mass of weapons, ammo and gear (uniforms, vests, helmets, medic/engineer etc. tools and so on...)! What files do I have to use for my mod, and how to edit them? Thanks for your help in advance, and I apologize for my bad english! :) ps.: I know, there is a Super Soldier mod by 2Fast, which can give me what I want (and much more), but it was ast updated back in 2014, and it does not seem to work with the current version. Also, if you can show me similar mods, I'll be happy to use them instead of making a similar. -
Hello, so first off I'm going to say before you yell at how stupid I may seem from what I'm about to post I want you to know I'm new to the whole ArmA modding scene. But I'll start with my problem, so basically I am planning on having a few mods separate from one another like vests, uniforms etc. And my first question is that can you have the helmets and vests separate since I've seen the .paa's and there are together within there, so I'm not sure if I can do them separately. My second question is why won't my vests mod load, I'll post code for it underneath, but basically I was getting errors etc. and I thought I fixed them but when I load into the game, it says that the mod is loaded yet there aren't any vests from the mod within the virtual arsenal, and I've removed the vests from another mod I am working on which is basically my template. But I'm guessing it has something to do with Units? (This is the entirety of the config.cpp file.) Thanks for reading and faceplaming at me. :) Thank you for helping in advance. ~Blood

Hi All, I want create single player missions with the mission editor. The editor itself is not a problem for because it's similar to OFP and Arma2. But the wounding system of Arma3 seems to be not so good. I just want few wounding effects, no complex medical system: (I have no scripting knowledge and not the time to learn from beginning, so please give me a short example for one wound effect. maybe I will understand and can continue working. I have started reading your Scripting Introduction for New Scripters) wound effects: -for all units: if hands/arms are hit more than 0.3 are hit unit drops weapons and flees maybe with this command: gethit "arms", gethit "hands", removeAllWeapons, allowFleeing -for all units: if legs are hit more than 0.5 unit fells and can just croutch maybe with: gethit "legs", setUnitPos "down" If possible: script should be started with init.sqf and a script-sqf without to much entrys in the mission.sqm and the example as primitive as possible so that I have a chance to understand it.
