Spawn Aircraft Carrier 'USS Freedom' Jets DLC

Useful tip To spawn the new Jets DLC carrier via a script is the same as creating any other vehicle. However, to orientate or reposition it, the object will not update once spawned like other standard vehicles as the carrier is multiple objects. To update the position, direction and pitchbank, there is a new function: BIS_fnc_Carrier01PosUpdate; To spawn the carrier: private _carrier = createVehicle ["Land_Carrier_01_base_F",<position>,[],0,"None"]; To set its direction or to shift the carrier's position via a script, update the original object's attributes then run the function BIS_fnc_Carrier01PosUpdate: _carrier setPosWorld <position>; _carrier setDir <degree>; [_carrier] call BIS_fnc_Carrier01PosUpdate; The carrier will now be aligned to its base. Hello, So in my mission, I've had this problem for a while now where the missions icon as well as all the other parts regarding that mission so the trigger, the set task state and the create mission all float roughly 100 meters above the aircraft carrier so the players can land the mission in which they need to land the helicopter on the aircraft carrier. Squad Name: CVW-5 (Carrier Air Wing-5) Timezone:PST Preferred gamemode: coop Description: Carrier air wing 5 (CVW-5) is a new Naval unit with a NSW team ready to go for raids, we primarily focus on deck operations such as flight ops (case I, case II, case III, case IV), but we do have many training opportunities for those wishing to get involved in a secondary MOS that does not pertain to the deck. We roleplay the deck as realistically as it was meant to be played. Professionalism through service is our motto. We have many opportunities for advancement and advanced "C" School training, even OCS training which can catapult you into the roll of an officer. We include both enlisted and commissioned officer navy rankings. In the group, we do require that you participate in deck ops at least once every week so that everyone works around their aircraft/helicopter and that everyone knows how to do the jobs they need to do. Enlisted personnel will have the opprotunity to choose from a wide variety of jobs/specialties such as: Aviation Boatswines Mate classification Naval Aircrewmen Classification Damage control Helmsmen Yomen Etc. Enlisted ratings go from highest to lowest: Master Chief Petty Officer (limit of 5) Senior Chief Petty Officer (limit of 5) Chief Petty Officer (limit of 3) Petty Officer 1st class Petty Officer 2nd class Petty Officer 3rd class Seamen Seamen Basic Seamen Recruit Currently there are no Warrant Officer Ranks, but depending on how big the squad gets we may implement them. Officers are classed into few job titles such as: Landing Signal Officer Flight Deck Officer Naval Aviator Weapons Systems Officer Etc. Officer ranks go from highest to lowest: Commander Lieutenant Commander Lieutenant Lieutenant Junior Grade Ensign All personnel no matter rank/job must have a deck rating as either their primary or secondary NEC. How to get the Interiors of the aircraft carrier

Hello Community, I've downloaded the Arma 3 Development Build and the new Destroyer is great. My Problem is the following. My Idea was to take the interior parts from the destroyer and use them to create a new interior for the aircraft carrier but I got no idea how to do that and maybe one of you got a place where I can start. Jet catapult without aircraft carrier?

Hey guys i was wondering if its possible to place the jet catapult seperatly from the USS Freedome. I was trying to make a relay short runway so i thoght a catapult on a sperat runway on land would be cool. Fast help needed every answer could be helpfull :)-

CZN Masaryk aircraft carrier by DonbassCZ What? Czechs have an aircraft carrier? Not now but in 2020 we will have it. Some basic info: Displacement: 45k tones. Drive: 2 reactors, each with two steam turbines, supply two jet engines with a total output of 23MW. Height: 26 metres (to surface). Dive: 11 metres. Maximal speed: 25 nodes (46 km/h). Crew: 1100 - 450 vessel, 650 aviators. Price: 62 billion Czech crowns (only vessel) thats almost 1,5 trillion US dollars. About project: This project is inspired by the first Czech carrier of the Masaryk class. This class is very similar to the HMS Queen Elizabeth, which serves in the Royal Navy but its smaller. The ship is currently under construction in the Chinese shipyards of Changchun and its home base will be the port of Pula in Croatia. So far i have not started with modeling, but the only thing i can give you is a picture from the Ministry of Defense about a vessel. Also iam planning to make a Gripen Future2 jet which will be able VTOL land/take off and the AW101 helicopter. Also it will have self defense system like CIWS and 30mm cannons. There will be functional lifts, both islands (command centers) na the most of the vessel. It will be driveable. :) So here is that picture :)- 7 replies

Hi to everyone i have decide to create an new modern carrier for Arma 3 it's very very early progress of one day so i have decide to make this thread just to everyone know that It's based on USS G.R. Ford class that will replace Nimitz class! Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) is the first new design for an aircraft carrier since USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The shipbuilders found value in every square inch of the ship, saving the Navy a projected $4 billion in ownership costs over the ship’s 50-year lifespan. The ship is equipped with two newly-designed reactors and has 250 percent more electrical capacity than previous carriers. The improvements will allow the ship to load weapons and launch aircraft faster than ever before. It can carry up to 75 Aircrafts My plan is to create a giant for A3 It's my first project so wish me luck! :D

First of all: this addon is completely based on armatech's LHD spawning script, so full credit to him for his excellent work. The few code adaptions i've made aren't worth to mention. My part of this: adding a config and a (hopefully) accurate Icon. Now you can place the LHD like any othe object in the Editor. I suggest to collect all example missions in one thread. That would give everyone the ability to just download and copy a certain feature in their mission. Rules: Only 1 specific feature at a time so it can be copied into your own mission.
