Hi @haleks! i am very new to Reforger, but playing Arma games since 2011. I’ve been a server hoster since around 2012. Anyway, curious - I have seen your Ravage mod working on other servers. Is there something special I need to do to make them spawn? I'm hoping for dynamic spawned zombies. I read through the posts here and saw you focused more on static spawn zombies. I added Ravage mod to my dedicated server, ran around to cities and military places, but they are not spawning. To test, I'm running some published mission that I've seen them spawning, so I would think this is built into that mission. This is the mission I'm using to test: https://reforger.armaplatform.com/workshop/5CE4A5E8EB277FD7-Dayz. <-- This mission is really cool BTW. Anyway. Thanks for your mod and any reply. No worries if you're too busy; I'll probably stumble upon the magic sauce to make it work someday. lol

mgi scripts Wear what you want
moosemilker replied to pierremgi's topic in ARMA 3 - MISSION EDITING & SCRIPTING
Hi. Cool script! There are a few mods that try to solve the "wear all uniforms" problem (all built or derived from Haleks's 2015 script), but I don't want a mod, since all clients need the mod loaded. Hence the script method is best for dedicated servers that don't want to force the client to load mods. While trying to add "this script" to the bottom of initPlayerLocal.sqf ('player' is initialized), of the co10 Escape mpmission (specifically this mpmission 'co10_Escape_BIS_NATO_vs_CSAT.Tanoa'), the client gets really bad frames. Has anyone tried to add this script to co10 Escape missions? I am running a dedicated server with 'co10_Escape_BIS_NATO_vs_CSAT.Tanoa' mp mission. I usually get 70-90 FPS without this script. When I add it, FPS drops to 10-25 FPS. Thanks for reading. -Aaron -
Does this mean you will not release server/mission files?
-
Are you guys going to release your server files / mission so we can get some US servers going?

I'd leave it to the server admins, yes, this is a great feature to expose.

Tutorial: Installation & Configuration of ArmA3 Dedicated Server

I need help configuring 2 separate servers, each running game server instances. Summarized here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?181370-2-servers-each-running-dedicated-Arma-3-amp-Arma-2-servers-1-does-not-work-with-Steam&p=2743975#post2743975 Thank you, Aaron -
Need help configuring 2 independent computer systems behind 1 router, running servers

2 servers, each running dedicated Arma 3 & Arma 2 servers, 1 does not work with Steam
moosemilker posted a topic in ARMA 2 & OA - Servers & Administration
Hi, I have 2 physical servers (separate computers). Server #1 runs 3 dedicated game server instances fine: - Arma 3, game port 2302, steamqueryport 27016, steamserverport 8766 - Arma 2 OA (DayZ mod / Epoch mod), game port 2332, steamqueryport 27017, steamserverport 8767 - Arma 2 OA (DayZ mod / Epoch mod), game port 2342, steamqueryport 27018, steamserverport 8768 These all work. I have read pretty extensively on setting them up. Port forwarding is set up fine for all ports and again, all of these work. Server #2 runs 1 game server instance: - Arma 2 OA (DayZ mod / Epoch mod / Overwatch mod), game port 2532, steamqueryport 27019, steamserverport 8769 This on does not work. I have my router port forwarding set up to map ports to each server respectively. For some reason this game can not be scanned by gametracker.com (works with Steam query ports), or BattlEye (aka BEC.exe). What can I do to get the 2nd server to work with Steam behind my router? This 2nd server worked perfectly when Gamespy was the server lister. Now that July is here with the latest Arma game updates (via Steam) and Gamespy is done, I am beating my head trying to configure 2 servers behind 1 router. In other words... How does this guide work between 2 systems?! https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Dedicated_Server Any help would be greatly appreciated. ;-) Thank you so much, Aaron -
gamespy shutdown on May 31st...

-- from: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?175463-End-of-Gamespy&p=2656964&viewfull=1#post2656964 Marek or someone at BIS, What is the reaction to Gamespy shutting down? Is BIS dedicated to a Steam server listing/authentication solution? I am a software developer and have an Arma Launcher under development that works similarly to DayZ Commander. This project, of course, relies on a service to hook up with to continue my project. I am also experimenting with a WCF service that if deployed on a dedicated environment could potentially replace the Gamespy service. It would be great to hook up with some Arma 2 and Arma 3 devs and talk further on how the community can help out, or better yet, hear back how BIS has solved the server listing issue so we can rest at ease. Thanks, Aaron (Currently running 3 dedicated Arma 2 servers and 1 dedicated Arma 3 server. http://moosemilker.com) -
Why aren't there more updates on the reaction to gamespy shutting down?

Arma 3 Altis COOP dedicated server keeps starting at midnight (00:00:00)
moosemilker posted a topic in ARMA 3 - SERVERS & ADMINISTRATION
I followed an Arma 3 server thread on how to create a dedicated server: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147537-Tutorial-How-to-run-ArmA3-on-a-dedicated-server It worked fine, but my multiplayer mission starts at midnight 00:00:00 no matter what I do. Here is where I'm at: I extracted my target mission PBO from one of Arma 3's "addons" directory, and found this: MP_COOP_m03.Altis I placed this in my MPMissions directory. I viewed the description.ext, which contains this by default... class Params { class startTime { title = $STR_a3_cfgvehicles_modulestrategicmapmoduleopen_f_arguments_daytime_0; values[] = {6, 12, 19, 0}; texts[] = {$STR_A3_MP_COOP_m03_morning, $STR_A3_MP_COOP_m03_noon, $STR_A3_MP_COOP_m03_evening, $STR_A3_cfgvehicles_modulestrategicmapmoduleopen_f_arguments_daytime_values_night_0}; default = 6; }; class noOfRespawns { title = $STR_A3_rscdisplaydebriefing_loadstext_mp; values[] = {0, 1, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, 10000}; texts[] = {$STR_DISP_OPT_DISABLED, "1", "3", "5", "10", "20", "50", $STR_num_players_any}; default = 10000; }; }; I renamed it MP_COOP_m03_custom.Altis and called it from my config.cfg like this: class Missions { class Mission1 { template="MP_COOP_m03_custom.Altis"; difficulty="Regular"; }; }; I PBO'ed it up and started the server. I connect with my Arma 3 client, select my position, load the mission, and the server starts the mission at midnight. I edited the init.sqf and tried initializing the Params Array many, many, many different ways (via a lot of articles and forum posts), always while recompiling my PBO and relaunching my server, but none of them set the startTime to anything other than 00:00:00 midnight... Rather than explain all of the unsuccessful ways I have tried to initialize my mission's params array, can someone who knows how to run an Arma 3 dedicated server with setting the startTime to something other than midnight point me in the correct direction? Thank you, Aaron -
Purchased Arma 3 Alpha... Is there an upgrade path?

Purchased Arma 3 Alpha... Is there an upgrade path?
moosemilker replied to moosemilker's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
In my original post, the link posted mentions DLC with different versions of the game. So far, I cannot find any mention on BIS of a "Supporter Edition", which mentions "Arma X DLC" and all future DLC included. The chart in the link I sent may be wrong, thus the reason I posted DLC questions... If a totally NOT free / pre-paid-for pass exists, then I want it. If not, then I will buy the DLC as it shows up like everyone else. ;-) Thanks all for your replies! -Aaron ---------- Post added at 18:44 ---------- Previous post was at 18:41 ---------- I wonder if anyone bought, or if it just fell by the way side prior to shipping Arma 3. -
