Hmmm, Interesting, never considered this, so from a little google searching found this https://www.payscale.com/research/US/Job=Animator/Salary USD average hourly rate $48.85 on the high side so call it $50 = $25 as a nice round figure for 1 X weapon animation (to include reload, correct shoulder firing position, correct hand position)? Bnae, does that sound plausible? Just for interests sake.

Bnae, Only option I see to keep the poll in house, perhaps another thread solely for the poll. Maybe in Off-Topic and link here to it? Delete thread when done? Not that good an option I know - need to be able to add a poll to existing thread -> BI?? For my suggestion AM-17 & AMB-17. Pretty cool little weapon, I haven't seen around in games yet, very new. Would use normal AK ammo loads from the game (the 9mm Mag will be new). Acknowledge limited pics but here is what I can find; Good luck to us all!

This looks great, awesome job so far mrmark! The compare to IRL is sweet! Waiting for this one for sure. hybridcobra: It is better to keep assets vanilla or use custom made for the map, not have massive addons as dependencies IMHO.- 27 replies

Hey Jigsor thanks for your great mission. I have enjoyed it over many a year, really top notch. I'd like to use vme_cycle6's PLA squads as enemies. Would it be too much to ask for an option of that faction? Or could you provide guidance on how to add them myself? Hi alganthe I am using your mission on my dedi server. I have one observation though. It seems the the entry in description.ext under params, AOFinishEnemyPercentage doesn't work. Can you confirm the below is correct to achieve 15% enemy left = clear town? class AOFinishEnemyPercentage { title = "Percentage of enemies left to complete the AO"; values[] = {0.50, 0.40, 0.30, 0.20, 0.15, 0.10, 0.05}; texts[] = {"50%", "40%", "30%", "20%", "15%", "10%", "5%"}; default = 0.15; What I am left doing is going into Zeus to find the last one or two enemy troops as on Tanoa they can be extraordinarily elusive. The end effect is I get players dropping off the server from frustration in not finding the last enemy trooper. This is a good alternative to other co-operative missions out there so I am keen to see this mature further as a go to mission for hosters :) Hope you can have a look at this or show me where I went wrong with the above setting :)

LOL, Well I have had the handle for years and years. Originally grabbed it when I started playing combat flight sims - I'd get on yer 6 and maul you down until the kill :P But since the above and having a look around, I think I'll go with; a fighter who batters the opponent or mauler : Beschädiger , Prügler ; Boxer ( umgspr .) Synonyms and Antonymous of the word mauler in Almaany dictionary Synonyms of " mauler " ( noun ) : combatant , battler , belligerent , fighter , scrapper Instead of the definition of; Southern German : nickname for a complainer, from Middle Low German mülen ‘to complain’, ‘to be angry’. Well that's not the don't worry be happy vibe I hope to put out B) Was an interesting little search though, cheers for a laugh and travel down memory lane! Have a great day!

Silola, I am so chuffed that your team is once more active on this. It is my most waited for terrain release. When you highlighted your disappointment and the pausing/ceasing development I cringed and held my breath. I can now breath easy!! This is such a masterful piece of work m8. Now that the lighting is back to where you are happy I am eagerly waiting in suspense of that time I can go have a picnic in the peaceful surrounds of an almost photorealistic terrain. Surely no-one would damage my ears with gunfire, well, maybe a little :P Hope you feel it's ready soon ... :P Really first class job!

The sun blind should only last for a few seconds but yeah nice idea. The LMG reload view animation sound sweet too, modders go to the trouble of custom animation only to have half of em not visible during normal gameplay. A simple view angle change as above would capture the animation well. Agree with Mike above for the rest, the effects IMHO would be best kept client side only. The dirt on screen effect could be "wiped" from eyes/face with a call to a standard animation - the one which is standing still and the character wipes their brow? Could you set this animation to clearing the dirt effect? Say call it 5-10 seconds after the dirt effect? So to recap, so far I vote for; Momentary deafness (I would rather a reduction in environmental sound level rather than the addition of a whistling). Heartbeat sound of varying loudness coupled with suppression whiteout. LMG reload view angle change, lets see these great custom animations in full view. Sun blind/whiteout for a few seconds when looking directly at sun. Dirt effect from near ground bullet/explosion impacts, wiped away after 5-10sec with a call to the eyebrow wipe animation. Stamina effect - perhaps heavy breathing? I like where this is going. I think these extras would be value adding, looking forward to getting more "into" the game :P Whatever you decide Lax - Awesome mods m8 - top job! -

Could we get an increased blood pumping sound similar to ace when your meds are out or you have low blood pressure etc., for when we are under direct suppression. This would be coupled with the whitening effect during this time. Louder as the whiteout increases. Obviously don't want it to be blaringly loud in the head but a noticeable effect with the dulling of environmental sounds. Just an enhancement to the sensory effects :) -
Oh, in that case ... Isn't that how everything gets made ;) In the end, design away with references and if some original work helps inform you enough for you to think this way, simply acknowlegde that inspiration :) As has been said above, nothing comes from nothing.

The use of Turbosquid if following it's licencing requirements as far as I am aware is completely legit. If you binarize and have paid for an appropriate licence level of model then good to go. Anyone please correct me if I have got it wrong but I plan to utilise the service as I am time limited and would rather employ an authors time with due acknowledgement to them for the 3d model. There is a lot more to do to get it in game. I have no problwms with this. My 2cents worth.

Hiya R0adki11, Really like your little jet ;) Reporting a glitch that I am having with the shadow. I have a work around of placing another jet. Would be good to see if others are getting similar - otherwise it's my machine. Please have a look at the screenies below demonstrating the graphic glitch. Any ideas? Hope it's an easy fix. Mauler.
