  1. I have watched Kiory doing this live and it seem important to me to save and store this video since his VOD videos on twitch don't last months back, so I recorded twitch VOD and uploaded on youtube as reference. It involves 3ds max, configs and in game.
  2. Agreed. 55:02 It's amazing to listen to John Carmack and at some point he mentions how he achieved change in strategy towards Samsung from his position at oculus (VR) I will post time bit later.

    Recoil Overhaul Feedback

It's boils down to 2 schools of thought. One is your mouse controls recoil with your input, while the other argues that hands themselves control recoil with muscles. I'm with second option since I believe that in real life you learn to control recoil with your muscles, stance and hand position, while in game all that applies on weapon return after climb which is subtracted with time.(shot pause, shot pause -> accuracy / shot, shot, shot -> inaccurate climb) You take shot, you wait your muzzle to go down, repeat the practice.(The muscle, the stance and hands position returns weapon down.

Tested on dev branch and it works. 7. Video is about flexi menu (context menu) from ACE for arma 2. Personally I like moving on and exploring new daring things rather then taking (same) proven concepts. Btw what are main problems of 3d contex menu?Moving your character away from interaction object will make action disappear.kinda make sense since you have to be in range to interact with objects as in reality right?

    Terrain Improvement (dev branch)

Developers are people too.He might made a mistake and linked to ponds issue instead of mid range textures problem.
  11. Perhaps the modder could only offer price when his mods are working with vannila game? As soon as it doesn't mod looses ability to sell. 1 year warranty - if mod breaks with vannila game (because modder doesn't work on the project anymore) and you have bought mod less then a year ago it gets refounded.
  12. During video he references Skype chat which I just found that I copied in text document. Here I'm sharing it with you guys. Related:

    DirecxtX 12 for ArmA 3?

You will have to be more specific, and generalizing and saying one brand is better is foolish.
  14. I'm glad some people like you sebj find it useful.I deem it so important that I recorded, edited (8hours of rendering or so) and uploaded so It stays around as resource. Is not perfect - visual fidelity is not as high as I would like (rendering settings) and VOD gets muted at times but I argue that just with looking you can learn a lot.

    Development Blog & Reveals

There's never been a better time to play games on PC. Gaming-capable hardware is inexpensive, digital distribution has given us unprecedented access to a huge range of games, and publishers have finally recognized that reports of its demise as a viable platform were ludicrously exaggerated. And soon the PC will have its own celebratory event during E3 week, with the first-ever PC Gaming Show, presented by AMD and put together by, well, us. "The PC Gaming Show embodies the spirit of innovation, openness and community that's part of our DNA—delivered by gamers, for gamers," AMD Corporate Vice President and General Manager of Computing and Graphics Matt Skynner said. "The time is right for a PC-focused event in the week of E3 and we're honored to be part of bringing the industry together." Hosted by Sean "Day[9]" Plott, the PC Gaming Show at E3 will feature appearances by Dean Hall of DayZ fame, Cliff Bleszinski of Boss Key Productions, and developers from studios including Blizzard, Bohemia Interactive, Cloud Imperium Games, Tripwire Interactive, Square Enix, Obsidian, Paradox, Devolver Digital and the Humble Bundlers, with more to be announced. "We’re living in a golden age of PC gaming, but unlike other platforms the PC has no format holder, no marketing department, and—until now—no event during E3 week purely devoted to it," added Tim Clark, global editor-in-chief at PC Gamer. "We think a show like this, which brings together people from every corner of PC gaming to celebrate the exciting things happening, is long overdue. We hope you’ll join us, in person or on stream, to be part of it." The PC Gaming Show will take place on June 16 at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles, and will of course be livestreamed on Twitch. 16. "We are indeed experimenting with 2 ports of Arma 3. An external team has been investigating whether it would be possible to create (non-native) client ports to Linux and MacOS. Being external, this does not affect the core development team while it focuses on the Expansion. We should make it really clear that at this stage there are still very many uncertainties. We do not yet know when we'd release these, what their update cycle would be like, or any other specifics. In fact, it's still possible these ports will never see the light of day. There are several technical and licensing challenges to overcome. But, the chances of such ports have gone up from 0% for Arma 3. We'll be sharing more when we can!" Pretty much means external team is working on porting arma 3 to Mac os and Linux. They have a lot of work in regards to licenses and technical aspects. They don't know when they will able to release it but they aren't on 0%.That's it.
  17. This is from sitrep "Various modders have asked us whether they can de-binarize the data within these licensed PBOs. Our goal is to stimulate the enrichment of the Armaverse with these releases. Therefore, we are OK with such use of the data, as long as the license is observed (Attribution, Noncommercial, Arma only, Share Alike for APL-SA). You can also go over the F.A.Q. for more information."
  18. Same here.It brighten my mood when I Read through SITREP.Operation section is my favorite part ^^
  19. Straight outta Eotech website The Holographic Weapon Sight technology. These sights maximize the operator's peripheral vision, which guarantees faster target acquisition and gives the operator greater control in the engagement zone. advantages: Maximum situational awareness from true heads-up display and two eyes open shooting Variety of reticle patterns to meet your shooting needs with the smallest, most precise dot in the industry No magnification whatsoever.
  20. Is opinion based on their size (around 50devs) which is small in comparison to big AAA titles which have easy above 100 employee developing game.In comparison with bigger AAA games however Arma is lot more in depth with their systems simulating a lot of things.Ballistics, AIs, big map size, fidelity, AFM...So to sum it up arma 3 is bigger game then any AAA title on the market yet it has relatively small sized developer team.
  21. In order to call it a fact you need a proof. "might damage sales" is hardly a proof. The bigger issue issue is time contraints and workforce which governs their development plan decisions.
  22. Regarding Skyrim paid addons issue, few things became apparent. Steam needs to assist modders (legal issues, security, general questions) Steam needs to set up form of security Steam needs to set up quality control In order to have modders generating founds they need to provide fair environment to do so. What percentage goes where needs to be clear an emotionally fair if they want to succeed in positive public opinion. As is now for Skyrim 30%valve 45%Bethesda 25% modder won't win hearts and minds. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
